I have a big yard. I used to do everything using regular yard tools. It was a lot of labor and made my whole body ache. I hated doing yard work. Since I bought this Hedge trimmer, I found myself looking forward to use it all the time. I just love this trimmer. I am a female, 5'2", I have no problem handling this trimmer. It is not heavy and works like charm. There are a lot overgrown holly bushes in my yard. I trimmed them way down so fast with this trimmer. It is really fun to do the yard work now.I can cut and trim for hours without feeling tired. I think maybe because it does not vibrate too much. I think the electronic trimmer is much better than gas trimmer. It is not very loud and It is no hassle, you just plug it in and go. The long cord is no problem for me at all. But don't expect to cut very thick tree branches. You need a saw for that.

I was pleased with this product although when rec'd the cutter blade was slightly bent due to the lack of packing material from Black and Decker they need to improve this greatly since there was not any in the box and machine flew around in the box during the shipping process this is how the cutter blade was bent. Other than that the product looked brand new used it once so far for alot of hedge and bush cutting and it worked great. I like Black and Decker products have an old Hedge Hog from almost 10 years and this new one is way smoother does not have the vibration of the old one and is two inches longer in the cutter blade.Good deal good price they just need to secure item in box better for shipping.

I thought I only wanted cordless tools and have all of the 18Volt B&D has, which are fine - but for my tall evergreen srubs this is the best. It's worth being bothered with the cord for the power this tool has and the reach seems a lot further than any other I have had.

Product was exactly as described. Works great & at a great price. Doesn't get any better than that.

Very fast shipping and for a refurbished trimmer, it looks and works like new. Highly recommended.

I was shocked to find this was a refurbished item. It was listed as new on the web page I accessed. I would have gladly paid the difference for new. I've only used it once and the blade doesn't seem to cut as good as my old one. Still, it has a 2 year warranty and maybe getting the blade sharpened will take care of it.

I ordered a Black & Decker HH2450R 24" HEDGEHOG Hedge Trimmer from Amazon and sold by: DAM Distributors. The condition was stated as new. The product was described as "new" all through the order and billing process to include my receipt. However, what I received was a refurbished unit that is pretty scuffed up and not the "new" unit described in my order. I was as others also somewhat shocked to find this was a refurbished item. The item works fine, but my issue is with the misleading of new v.s. reconditioned. The price for a "new" unit was the deciding factor on who to purchase from.

Update: Dec 2011 Over a year now and still going strong, all in all an excellent trimmer with the exception of the misrepresentation of being advertised as "new". Well worth the money regardless and no complaints with condition or quality. I would buy another when this wears out.

This trimmer works great and i got it for a great price. Now I wonder why I used manual shears all these years.

So far so good. Have used it two times so far and have no complain. I would recommend this to friends if they can find it for the same price (under $52).

We purchased this hedge trimmer to take care of many, many bushes and shrubs we have in the yard. We were a bit nervous about buying a factory reconditioned one, but it proved to be a great buy. It is a LARGE hedge trimmer which can handle most any shrub you might have. One sweep across and your job is aboout done! We gave it a workout two days in a row and it handled every job well.
