The reconditioned 22-inch AutoStop Hedge Trimmer has just what you need for your larger trimming projects. A long 22-inch blade is ideal for larger and wider hedges and shrubbery. The pre-hardened steel blades stay sharp longer and resist rust. AutoStop Blade System means that once you release the trigger, the blade stops in under 1/2 a second. Fatigue is reduced with the built-in lock-on/lock-off switch and prevents accidental start-up. ... I would like to comment on the reconditioned 22" hedge-trimmer. Having purchased factory reconditioned materials from you in the past, and purchased factory reconditioned stuff from other places,I personally don't have a problem with reconditioned materials. I have used wood-working tools, and mechenics tools for the last 25 years and used them very hard. Most of the time the factory-reconditioned
tools held up as well or even outlasted the new tools that I had purchased . For the last 25 years I have been a professional service tech. in a auto dealer, and have done wood-working on the side until I was disabled in an auto accident in 1997. So now that I'm disabled I look for the reconditioned stuff for finiancial reasons, and trust me they work wonderfully. I have no problems purchasing them. Nor would I at any time. ...

Last year I bought a lawn mower; my wife was so satisfied with this purchase from Amazon, that this was the first place she looked when shopping for a badly needed hedge trimmer.

Suffice to say, we were not disappointed. The purchase arrived at our home from the Amazon.com Tool Crib in North Dakota in a timely manner via UPS; the hedge trimmer was already assembled, in mint condition (for a reconditioned item), and it came with a new purchase warranty, but not at a new-purchase price.

It is an excellent trimmer; sturdy, lightweight and easily manuverable. My 100lb. wife took a turn playing with it and was able to wield this baby in a manner that make a fan of the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movies proud!

For the price, I would highly recommend this product, if you are in the market for a good, reliable, sturdy and easy-to-use hedge trimmer.

I am so pleased with this purchase, I won't think twice about making another tool or lawncare purchase thorugh Amazon.com.

I wanted a reconditioned tool because the cost was cheaper than a brand new one. Considering I do yardwork only 1-2 times per month, I didn't need a "really good" one.

This B&D trimmer did a good job on branches up to 3/8" thick. Anything thicker will result in "tearing" instead of cutting.

It's fairly loud and the ergonomics are not that great. However, for the price I paid here on Amazon, it is a good deal.
