This is a reconditioned power tool. Reconditioned generally means that the tool has been returned to the manufacturer, who brings the tool back to like new conditions. Some tools may contain cosmetic blemishes. The Bosch 1617PK gives you the best of both the fixed-base and plunge router worlds! It features an 11 amp, 2-horsepower, 25,000 rpm (no-load) motor with plunge base and fixed base in a carrying case. This kit features the exclusive quick-clamp system, allowing tool-free movement of motor from base to base. The depth adjustment system feature coarse and microfine bit depth adjustment with re-settable indicators. Both bases have large base openings with 2-inch sub-base openings, accepting larger bits and providing better visibility. The routers' right or left switch and cord locations provide both choice and consistency, and the motor does not rotate during depth adjustment. The tool-free templet guide adapter allows quick changes, and both bases feature the Bosch-exclusive precision centering design for centering optional templet guides. The motor has a one-piece armature shaft for accuracy and long bit shank capacity. The kit includes 1/2-inch and 1/4-inch self-releasing collets, templet guide adapter, and comfortable drop-forged wrenches. Multiple new optional accessories allow you to build a complete Bosch routing system.

I love this router. It said reconditioned, but it looks and performs like brand new. I used it everyday for weeks with no issues. Be sure to get the adjustable guide also, it makes perfect datos, and rabbets a snap.

The tool came in a very nice carrying case. However, furnished were 1/2" and 3/8" collet chucks. As far as I'm concerned, the 3/8" collet is absolutely useless. And, all my router bits have 1/4" inch shafts. So, I've been forced to try to find a local Bosch tool dealer (25 miles away) and order (at a cost of $17) the 1/4" collet chuck. It will be here in 5-8 days. Would have been very nice for Amazon.com to furnish this tool with equipment that is used in the trade. Not so!
