I should have done this sooner!, June 5, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Braun 7505 Syncro Shaver (Health and Beauty)
After 20 years of scraping a razor across my face I decided to give an electric razor a whirl. I had cheap electrics given to me in my late teens that chewed my face up pretty bad, so I was wary. My dad uses a Braun so I figured I'd look there first and found Amazon's listing. I compared them all and the combination of price and reviews caused me to decide on the reconditioned 7505. I wasn't crazy about the idea of a reconditioned product, but I wanted to save the [$] off the new price and risked it. I am one happy customer! I've used the razor for just over two weeks now on the initial charge. I was worried about the two or three weeks of face adjustment time you hear so often about. No problem there. All that neck irritation and redness every morning is gone. I get a great, close shave, though it took me a couple of days to get really good results as I got the hang of shaving with an electric. Clean up is easy. I don't save a whole lot of time, but it's a neater and more efficient process. The razor arrived in mint shape. I could not tell the difference between what I got and a new razor. This is a fantastic razor at a great price.

Faith in Electric Shavers Again!, May 26, 2004
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Braun 7505 Syncro Shaver (Health and Beauty)
For the past few years, I stopped using electric shavers because I was disappointed with the results. While I still believe the closest shave is with a razor, (Mach 3 is awesome), for an electric shaver, the Braun 7505 is the next best thing. 1. price: no arguments here. I was debating between purchasing a brand-new, lower model shaver, or this reconditioned model. I have absolutely no regrets about purchasing the reconditioned Braun. 2. shave: shaves great. again, a razor will be a better shave, but, you cant beat the convenience of an electric shaver. No mess, no fuss, and takes less time. technology has come a long way and I have to say I am very pleased with the performance of this shaver. ( 3. battery power: still relatively new, but this thing seems to last forever in between charges. I have charged it once and have been able to use it everyday for several weeks without recharging it. (i have moderate facial hair). 4. clean up: a cinch. i just followed the recommendation of another reviewer and i just blast compressed air to clean the shaver. great way to clean the shaver. 5. although this model can be used in conjunction with the cleaner/base, this reconditioned model does not come with it. I honestly dont see the need for it. compressed air works fine enough for me. Conclusion: Excellent price, great shave, easy clean up and great battery power makes this reconditioned shaver a standout.

Good, great for the price, but better shavers available, March 15, 2003
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned Braun 7505 Syncro Shaver (Health and Beauty)
I bought one of these on a lark, given the low price promotion Amazon had on the reconditioned version...Currently I use a Panasonic 8003W shaver, which is a great shaver. By comparison, the 7505 is...well..good. But not great. Not nearly as good as the Panasonic. It doesn't shave quite as close and it takes somewhat longer to get a comparable shave. It's also not nearly as convenient to clean as the Panasonic (which is a wet/dry shaver, so you can just run soapy water over it to clean it). The 7505 isn't bad. It cuts reasonably close (except on the neck, where it suffers the same problem as all foil shavers). It feels good in your hand. Battery life is good (although the lack of even a single measly low battery light is very cheap on Braun's part). It's definitely better than some of the second string brands (I'm thinking Remington and the like). But, sorry, Panasonic has it beat. dap
