Not up to DeWalt standards!,

This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DEWALT DC011R Combination Worksite Radio and 7.2-Volt to 18-Volt Pod Style Battery Charger (Tools & Home Improvement)
This thing does a good job of charging batteries - but so does the charger I bought for less than 20 dollars. It plays AM and FM radio stations if the station is fairly close and you aren't annoyed by continually having to wiggle the volume control until both speakers start working. Don't expect any bass because there isn't a tone control. Don't bother setting the time, or any stations into the "presets", because the AA batteries that are supposed to maintain the memory will discharge overnight. It comes with a case to hold CDs, but it doesn't have a CD player (duh!). All my tools are DeWalts, and I've been satisified with their performance, but this thing is way below the quality I'd expect from something that says its a DeWalt. I'm about ready to sell off all my DeWalt stuff and buy Bosch because the Bosch radio/charger has a CD player, sounds better, and has many useful features. After the first wimpy DeWalt attempt at a radio/charger, you'd think the new version would be an improvement. WRONG!

The unit I received was missing the Accessory/CD case that snaps to the side. The LCD screen was badly scratch/fogged. The unit does receive stations, but the antenna is very loose.
It wasn't worth the saving to receive this sub-standard unit. Shame on Dewalt!
