This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DEWALT DC983KAR 14.4-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit (Tools & Home Improvement)
I use one of these drills five days a week and they work very good for my needs. I drill a lot of small holes in 3/4 inch wood and thicker and the battery life is reasonably good. The power is very good. One inch holes in most wood are no problem. I also use these as screwdrivers which they excel at. This drill is not a hammer drill. I have little problem drilling holes in concrete with this drill. I have used the DeWalt hammer drills but learned early on if I want the chucks to last I Never use the hammer drill function so this drill is ideal for me. I recommend these for moderately heavy commercial work and any homeowner jobs. I recently purchased a remanufactured drill from Toolking and have nothing but glowing reports about it.
