i live in a loft-style apartment with a large bare concrete wall. this hammer drill does the job drilling small holes in concrete for shelves and other various needs.

The Dewalt reconditioned drill arrived quickly, brand new in appearance, and with all of the parts. It works great reducing a 3hr 30min job to 30 minutes. We are very pleased.

Reconditioned tool looked basically new out of the box..........used it for first time to drill 2 inch holes
in sheet metal.........flawless performance.This is a handy tool at a very deep discount for the average handyman/homeowner.Thanx..........VSR

I had tried using a 22 caliber nailer and my concrete was not being cooperative. I purchased this remanufactured Dewalt and have been VERY pleased.
For putting Tap-Cons in concrete it is absolutely perfect. If I were boring 3/4" or 1" holes in concrete all day, I'm sure I'd be better off with a heavier duty drill, but for small to medium hammer-drill duties, this is a wonderful tool, and I own it for what it would have cost me to rent one for 2 or 3 days. This works much better b/c often I only need one or two holes at a time. No regrets with this purchase.

These 1/2 inch drills are great for big jobs or when lots of torque is needed. The extra handle is quickly removed or installed with a twist of the wrist. This reconditioned drill looks just like the new one I destroyed...

These have so much torque that I was using it to turn over a 12 HP Gravely tractor engine by putting a socket and small extension in the jaws of the drill. Cool idea, right? But this one time I used starting spray in the carb to speed things up. Well, I didn't think about it, but ether (the starting spray) is VERY flammable and some of the vapor drifted back to the drill. That caused micro-bursts in the drill where the carbon brushes contact the armature (you know...where you see the sparks inside the drill). So even though the drill still tried to run, it couldn't because of the craters in the armature created by the micro-bursts. Lesson learned. The reconditioned one I bought lessened the sting of the loss, and now I have spare parts!

This drill is a great value and is as good as new even though it was factory reconditioned. Compare the price at the big box stores and you will buy this one!
