I bought this drill about a year ago, & have really enjoyed it's compact POWER. I have put it to some really tough assignments & it has never let me down. After it was stolen, I bought another 9.6 volt product on sale (Black & Decker Firestorm CO231). While it is a good drill for screwdriving, it lacks power to drill very well. There is a big difference in the way the drills feel, with the DeWalt drill having the most substancial feel. Both drills have adjustable clutches to prevent overtightening of screws. And both have batteries that recharge in a few hours. However, after using both drills for a while now, I will have another DeWalt DW926K-2R drill in my tool box again very soon!

This drill, although not the most powerful, has a great power to weight ratio. The batteries charge last a reasonable amount of time, and the balance is good. The 18V drills are nice, but a bit on the heavy side for all day use.

Personally I find this drill the best for all around use.

I have owned this drill for many years and it still works like new. In the age of 18v and greater cordless power, people are forgetting what a great drill this is - at about half the weight of its big brothers. Although I am not a contractor using my drill all day every day, it has seen hard use. I have used it exclusively to renovate two houses (including drywall hanging), build a 24x45 pole barn, and countless woodworking and home repair projects. If this drill ever dies I will buy the exact same product to replace it. I can't think of a better testimonial than that.

The clutch helps prevent damage to screws and bits, useful adjustment range. Plenty of power for use as a screw driver. Battery life is long enough that the spare has been recharged by the time I needed it. The chuck has slipped when used with round shafts under high torque loading.
