5.0 out of 5 stars Great Convection
I bought this oven almost 8 years ago at a local retail store for approximately $150. I have no complaints. I don't use it every day but it gets its share of use. There have been no problems with it whatsoever. I much prefer the mechanical dial over the electronic ones.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money
It's loud. No timer. The toaster barely toasts, I have to toast twice to get "toast". Definitely not worth the money.

I have made a couple of factory reconditioned purchases since discovering internet shopping & have no regrets. One thing for certain, buying factory refurbished saves a good chunk of money but usually shortens the warranty period. Since having such good luck with this oven, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it for a second home if I needed it, especially at this great price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rating Re-Conditioned DeLonghi Covection Toaster Oven, October 2, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DeLonghi AS670SRB AirStream Convection Toaster Oven, White (Kitchen)
This item was a replacemnet for an identical item that I had used for many
years, and no matter how good an item is, it doesn't last forever.
I purchased 2 other similiar ovens which I would rate much lower.
The DeLonghi Company quit making the AS670SRB model and I needed a new
replacement. Fortunately while surfing through the Amazon web site,
I found the DeLonghi Toaster Oven, a re-conditioned model for sale. This
item was the exact model that I used in the Kitchen for many years. The item looks and works like a new item. It's well made, does quality performance and the price was a bargain. If it wasn't for shipping cost it would be a real steal. I would highly recommend this item

5.0 out of 5 stars Irreplaceable., August 31, 2007
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DeLonghi AS670SRB AirStream Convection Toaster Oven, White (Kitchen)
I've had my DeLonghi Airstream for 11 years. The only thing wrong with it is something I did myself: letting the hot glass door land on a plastic bag, which stuck & left its imprint. I've been researching toaster ovens just for aesthetic reasons, but will now stop looking. I wish Delonghi still made them new, their newer ovens don't have the features or quality, & just take up more room on the counter.

I have been using this model toaster oven for years, I use it as an oven on a daily basis, and love it. Dealing with Amazon was very easy, I had a problem with my first shipment, and the return and replacement of the iterm was a no hassle and very prompt service experience.

We bought this oven about 6 years ago online for approximately $110. We have only one complaint--the heating elements started warping about 2 years ago but stopped after I gently straightened them. Toasting was lighter than setting indicated it should be but we just moved the dial a little farther and, BAM, the toast looked just fine. We also prefer the mechanical dial as we feel the electronic ones go out after every electricity black out as resetting takes too long.

Since we've had such good luck with this oven, we are ready to buy it for a second time, especially at this great price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made oven, November 8, 2007
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DeLonghi AS670SRB AirStream Convection Toaster Oven, White (Kitchen)
To me this Made in Italy oven is definitely worth the money, since I've used it almost exclusively for four years and it's still going strong. Other toaster ovens would last a year or two, or gradually lose power. This one gets used even more often because the oven is large enough for most things I cook, so it's paid for itself with energy savings.

The convection fan speeds up cooking times and eliminates temperature spikes so I use it when baking especially. After reading about bent heating elements, I checked mine and one of the bottom ones is bent a little but it hasn't effected the performance any.

The toaster-timer is pretty noisy, but I like the old-fashioned manual knobs. If this ever wears out, I'll replace it with another DeLonghi.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not perfect, November 20, 2007
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned DeLonghi AS670SRB AirStream Convection Toaster Oven, White (Kitchen)
I've owned this oven for over ten years. It is true that the heating elements warp but that has never affected the performace. What does is mine oven runs hot like 50-75 over temp. It took me awhile and a few burn dishes to think about putting a oven thermother in. Now I just turn the temp down 50 evertime and all is fine. I wish I could calibrate the temp. but was told it couldn't be done. what I really like about this oven which seems to seperate from the rest is the low temps, Mine has a defrost and a dehydrate setting. I find defrosting meat in the toaster oven does a better job than the microwave, especially on chicken. I'm also often drying things, not food, that have gotten wet. After ten years of service the timer finally stopped working, but online I able to buy a replacemnt timer for $17 so I did.

Amazon gets high marks for this transaction. I just clicked on some of their links and in no time at all I had a return authorization and a printed PREPAID UPS shipping label. Thanks, Amazon, for such a painless way of returning this item!
