With this drill bit sharpener, you'll be able to sharpen the complete range of drill bits (3/32-inch to 1/2-inch), metric, number, and letter sizes. The point-style control handle allows for conventional point, split point, and masonry drill bit sharpening. The super-abrasive and long-lasting diamond wheel sharpens high-speed steel, cobalt, and carbide drill bits with a precalibrated drill bit length setting. A steel stop plate assures consistent and maintenance-free drill bit grind-depth control and alignment. You can sharpen ordinary standard drill bits into fast-cutting, self-centering, split-point drill bits or change the point angle to meet your specific needs (118 or 135 degrees). Includes instructional video and comes with full manufacturer's warranty.

I was a little skeptical of purchasing reconditioned tools sight unseen. However, the DD500 arrived well packed and in "new" condition. There was no way I could identify it from a new unit. The Drill Doctor worked flawlessly and I no longer need to hunt for sharp drill bits. I am well pleased with my purchase from Amazon and and the Drill Doctor DD500r is worth every penny I paid for it.

The Drill doctor is great for drill bits in the medium range. Small drill bits are very difficult to align in the alignment mechanism. Large drill bits are a bit much for the motor and it bogs down. You just have to go a little slow.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with it!
