Make sure that all your pets and children are out of the room when you vacuum your rugs with the Fantom Cyclone Vacuum Upright Cleaner or you run the risk of sucking them up along with the drapes with this whirlwind of a machine! This vacuum is a whirling dervish literally with suction power I have not witnessed...ever. As a test I vacuumed with my old cleaner then vacuumed with the Fantom. The Fantom sucked up a bunch of dust and debris not picked up by my old machine. It was if I had not vacuumed at all in a week! The other great thing is you never have to deal with bags: finding the right one, returning the wrong one, etc., etc. You can also click the machine from carpets to floors in one easy step. I never thought that I could get so worked up about a Vacuum Cleaner. I wonder if my neighbor's rugs need vacuuming?

I was AMAZED by the amount of filth this vacuum suckd up from my home.
For [the price that it is offered at] this is a tough deal to beat. I've been looking for a decent vacuum for a while but the prices have really turned me off...
That is until I ran across this model on Amazon... So what if it factory refurbished and has a few blemishes. What counts is it WORKS and it works well.
I thought the other commernts were [not true] when they were saying how much fun they had with the vacuum. Well, I'm proven wrong, I had fun using the vacuum, my wife had fun as well.
If you already have a good Hoover this may not be the vacuum for you, however if you have an old vacuum...I reccomend taking the chance in trying this vacuum cleaner. You will not be disappointed and who knows you allergies (if you have 'em ) may improve due to removing all of the YUCK from your carpet.
In addition the handle that converts to a suction wand with a flick of the switch is incredibly conveinent. It makes it really easy to suck the dirt out of those hard to reach corners and edges.

I've always been interested in the Fantom vacuums and wondered if they lived up to the hype. I have to say that I love it. You'll be amazed at the dirt & grime sucked up! And the dirt canister is very easy to empty. On the negative side, I find the power cord very easily gets in the way ... this may be because I've always had a canister vacuum. I honestly wouldn't recommend purchasing a reconditioned unit. I received mine and the brush indicator light doesn't function. I expected to receive a unit that was slightly worn but fully functioning. I'm opting to return the defective unit and purchase new! Even with the hassle of receiving a defective unit, I still would recommend this brand of vacuum.

I am so pleased by this vacuum cleaner. I had read reviews about other fantoms and was concerned with quality and emptying the bin. There was no need, the quality is good and nothing could be easier to dump and replace than the collection bin. It cleans great and has great cord range. The fine dust pick up is wonderful.

The only weakness is in the on board tool hose suction, but there is not much of a drop. Which is good because otherwise it would be sucking up pictures and drapes. I love being able to go from carpet to bare floor with a single click.

This fantom cleans as well as my rainbow cleaner without all the muss and fuss of the water. It is so fun to use, I was up early the next morning to use it again. Since I live on a gravel road I will be using it a lot.

This vac was all it promised. it did come with some minor marks and dings, but it still preformed excellent. In fact it pulled a couple of pounds of that darn "carpet cleaning" powder out of our living room carpet that the old vac couldn't get out. we didn't know it was even in there. The kids enjoy using it becauses its fun to watch the dust and stuff swirling around inside (a little added bonus for us parents) Don't hesitate to buy this vac, it really cleans up.

Although my current vacuum was 10 years old I thought it did a credible job of cleaning. Simpy cannot believe how much dirt and dog hair this vacuum has found in my rugs. I used my old vacuum and then revacuumed immediately with this one------UNBELIEVABLE. Would highly recommend the Fantom Cyclone to one and all.

The vacuum is wonderful. However, I would strong recommend passing on the reconditioned model as our arrived with two problems. The first is a very common whining problem found in many refurbished models. The vacuum makes a loud whining noise upon turning-on and turning-off. The second occurred when one of our lights went out less than a week after its arrival. Needless to say we were backed by Amazon's wonderful return policy, one which the company fully held up to.

The vacuum's excellent performance was stained by its defects upon arrival.

I needed a new vacuum and wanted one that I thought would last. I found this one on Amazon for a great price and thought I would try it.

I love it. The attachments are so easy to use that I actually now use attachments. This picks up so much dirt!

I would recommend this to all. I did buy the refurbished and I would do it again!

The vacuum runs great but this company does a terrible job at reconditioning their products. Mine came with dust all over it and a musty smell. Also, expect scratches that are not repaired. Ive bought plenty of reconditioned merchandise and have never seen such lack of detail by a company.
