My husband and myself bought this product because we already owned the Ronco Compact 3000. Since we needed something bigger with a growing family with was the one for us. Took it out of the box everything was like brand new.. I put it to use right away , the test was leg quarters. Set the time and off it went.. The chicken was wonderful, it was juicey but really tender. In other words just right. We did the same with Pork Chops, they turned out great.. I really have enjoyed the rotisserie so far. Expect one thing.. The spit rod came apart at one of the rods. The bolt was no longer holding it in place. So I contacted the seller and I had a new one sent to me with no problems.. It comes with a 6 month warrenty.. So keep all the paper work and the box if you are able to just incase. It is a really wonderful rotessierie to have around when you dont want to heat up the whole kitchen. If it wasn't for the spit rod breaking off, I would have given it 5 stars.

Wonderful item and it arrived sooooo quickly. I received everything in perfect condition. Received it today and cooked in it this evening. Great steaks!!!!

It arrived quickly and comes with alot of accessories. Remember this thing is silver not black or white. When first used it worked great except was extremely noisy as it spinned. It was like gears needed lubricated. Not sure what I am going to do about that but the food it cooked was wonderful. Cleanup was AVERAGE,not as easy as they say but not as bad as others have said. Overall we are keeping it because of how tender and tasty the foods are.

Makes the best roasted chicken we ever ate. Not the easiest to clean, nor is it the hardest. Worth the reduced price if you can find it.

I received the unit in good condition with "all" the promised accessories. It is somewhat noisy while cooking, but the Instruction Sheet says to put a drop of vegatable oil on the axle supports,which I will do next time since I am already cooking my 1st chicken in it. I feel it is worthy of at least 4+
stars.

We owned the smaller version of the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie and thought we'd step up in size. It does make some creeking noise, and so did our smaller one - but the food is awesome! Our daughter encouraged us to buy the bigger one so she could have our older one. We have used the smaller one almost every week for over 3 years.

I got this as a gift several years back, and I LOVE IT! I never thought I'd own anything by Ronco- remember those cheezy as seen on TV products? Clap ON, Clap OFF! CH-CH-CH-CHIA! I can't describe my disappointment when I opened the gift wrapping and saw that my loved one had spent all that money on a Ronco! Several weeks later I cooked the obligatory meal with it and MY GOD IT WAS GOOD!!! I primarily cook chicken in it. I can fit two "young whole chickens" on the spit rod and generally stab a knife into the meat and slip slices of garlic down into the meat, and put slivers of garlic under the skin. The "flavor injector" is worthless- it plugs up and won't inject anything, but you really don't need it. The meat ends up "falling off the bone" tender. Chicken nowadays has SO MUCH fat under the skin- the nice thing about the showtime is that this fat is generally melted off and doesn't end up on your plate.
The construction is decent quality- on a par with other products out there, and the only problem I've had is that the "foot assembly" (a plastic piece which screws onto the bottom edge on either side of the unit that acts as the base/foot) broke. This piece is also the channel that acts as the hinge for the glass door. The unit is totally unusable without it. I had to order another one for about 35 bucks. The cust service rep said that this part is a common order for them (read: it breaks often) The replacement didn't fit quite right, but I forced it and it's holding so far (about a year and a half). Customer service was friendly, but there is no way of identifying the model by using the serial number, etc. so if you buy this- REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE MODEL/SIZE in case you have to order parts.
I've never used the accessories such as they warming tray that sits on top of the unit for warming corn, etc. The drip tray and fish cooking basket things have a nice anti stick coating on them and clean up nicely. The spit rods also clean up nicely but have set screws that hold them into the end plate. Cooked, dry food accumulates around them and is hard to clean out. There is a reflector plate that slides behind the heating element and it's just sheet metal. It will tarnish and get brown and quit reflecting the first time you use it but I don't see any decreased cooking time because of it.
In all, BUY IT! You'll use it more often than you think!
