1. The Photograph is a tilt head model, (probably the Artisan, which is smaller, less powerful and cheaper) not the Professional 5 Plus 5.2. The description hops back and forth between the 450 watt motor Professional 5 Plus 5) and 475 watts (Professional HD model). 3. The HD is often substituted for the Pro 5 Plus 5, and the reason they shouldn't do that is because the HD has a tall narrow bowl and the Pro 5 Plus 5 has the wide bowl. If you order the Pro 5 Plus 5 and buy yourself a pour shield, it won't fit in the HD bowl. The HD is also an excellent machine, but it should be listed separately and sold separately. I have notified Amazon about this twice and they have ignored me. Both machines are excellent, and they do look and perform like a brand new machine when they arrive.

I have enjoyed the factory reconditioned kitchen aid. I have put it to the test these past weeks to ensure it would stand up.so far I have not had any problems from light mixing to bread making. I have waited along time to purchase and this was in my price range. I would do it again.

KITCHENAID PRO LIFT STAND MIXER,
This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned KitchenAid RKV25G0XWW Professional 5 Plus Bowl Lift Stand Mixer, White on White (Kitchen)
This mixer is the bomb! My wife and I have been looking at this KitchenAid model for a couple of years, and have come close to buying its smaller sibling, but held out for this model. When this Factory Refurb came up, I immediately jumped on it. What a deal! This mixer is truly a professional model, with enough power for really big jobs. And, when the FedEx man said he had delivered my mixer, and it wasn't there, a new one was immediately dispatched. Great service and a great product. Thanks!

Ordered for girlfriend, the mixer came without any sign of use at all. Included the three mixer attachments, which appeared brand new, and book. Before you use the mixer be sure the bowl is pushed down and locked in the back of the stand (in addition to the two arm anchors) other the mixer will scrape and you will blemish your mixing attachments.Have not had much time to use it with recent travel, but so far it runs smooth and without any hesitation or rattling.

I like too bake, particularly cookies and cakes. I bought this mixer because our old Sunbeam was showing its age and Vacation Bible School was coming up. Kids require lots of cckies, you know. I was not at all disappointed in this mixer. It does its job very well. I did buy the pour shield from an Amazon vendor however. I would advise anyone buying this mixer to get the pour shield. It makes the mixer so much more versatile. Just make sure to get the right one.Being "referbished" means nothing. My mixer was indistinguishable from a new one when I got it. All I lost by buying referbished was a high price!

Wonderful way to get a KitchenAid for cheap, but with some caveats,

I bought my KitchenAid Professional 5 Plus a few months ago and have been very happy with it--that is, after returning the first one Amazon sent because it would not adjust properly (there is a little screw you can use to adjust the bowl height so that the bottom of the bowl gets as close as possible to the beater without touching it--on the first one I received, the screw was not adjusting enough and the beater was hitting the bottom of the bowl). Because the factory-reconditioned models only have a six month warranty, I wanted to make sure that the one I had was absolutely perfect. The second one was perfect, and I have been extremely happy with it. I haven't bought any of the extras, but the mixer comes with a beater, paddle, and dough hook. When making whole grain breads, the mixer definitely seems to be working quite hard (be sure only to use the dough hook on level 2, max); KitchenAid mixers are notoriously noisy, though, so perhaps it's not working as hard as it sounds like it is!I was skeptical about buying a factory-reconditioned model and almost backed out of the whole deal when my UPS delivery man told me that he picks up a whole lot of KitchenAids to send back to the manufacturer...but I figured that people might just be bothering to make use of the warranty (which involves sending the machine back to the manufacturer) rather than just throwing the mixer out and buying a new one, as you might with a cheaper mixer. I bought my mixer when the price was so low that if it worked only for a couple of years, I would still have been happy with the purchase (of course, this amount varies from person to person, but I don't think Amazon will let me say here that I paid $129 for mine). After three months, I would say that I am thrilled to have gotten such a good deal on an excellent mixer.

I'm very happy with this mixer. It arrived in pristine condition, even though the box it was shipped in looked very tired and worn. The machine does what I ask of it with no glitches or complaints. I bought it mainly for bread making, and after a certain amount of practice, I'm turning out great products. I also have discovered that scoop shaped measuring cups work wonderfully for adding flour and other ingredients, so I think I will pass on the idea of purchasing a splatter guard. My only gripe is not with the machine, but probably with Amazon because I did not get the model that was pictured. I got the HD. I have researched as much as I can, and the machine I received is probably identical to the one I thought I was getting, but I just don't understand what is so difficult about matching the picture with the product that one is buying. Seems kind of elementary to me.

I was a bit hesitant on buying a refurbished item like a mixer but this thing has been a work- horse! My wife does a majority of the cooking in our household but has probably used this 2 to 3 times a week ever since we purchased it (a year or more ago?) and it's definately industrial grade! We opted for the larger motor and bigger bowl and it's something that I'd recommend everyone do. We have had absolutely no problems with it (knock on wood) and it continues to mix and mix and mix... Everything from bread, to cakes, to cookies to you name it! This model of mixer is fantastic!

This mixer was the best investment, I have had it for 4 years and it is still going strong. I have made breads, cookies, cakes, pies, huge wedding cakes, small batch candies, you name it, I've made it. Over the years I have gotten attachments as gifts and for myself and they all work great too! I had a friend help me with a lunch the other day and we were mixing a large amount of Chicken Salad in it and she was very impressed with the mixer and the amazing price I got it for , $99.00 ( I know!), 4 years ago. So I will be watching the sales for her. Once again, great product, great price.

LOVE IT!!!!!! What a deal for such a smooth working mixer! We are so happy with this mixer. I can't believe we used a hand mixer for so long. We would definitely buy refurbished again. The only issue is figuring out exactly what this model was compared with other models based on the Amazon description 'cuz it wasn't the most accurate or detailed. And actually there was some confusion in the description of its features. But in the end and by reading other forums on KitchenAid we figured it out. So go to KitchenAid.com's forums for better info on this model and others.
