Product Description

Amazon.com Review

If you're looking for a premium food processor, this KitchenAid model is definitely worth investigating. A well-designed powerhouse designed to become any cook's chief assistant, it measures 14 inches tall and 7-1/2 inches wide, with a clear plastic 11-cup work bowl and a bonus mini bowl, two premium-quality blades, and three discs: a reversible thin slicer/shredder, a medium slicer, and a medium shredder. It also comes with a spatula/cleaning tool and a useful plastic storage case for the blades and discs. Thoughtful features include a quick-lock lid and an easy-to-use feed tube, plus lots of easy-cleaning aspects, such as a sealed housing, a smooth control panel, and a work bowl that completely disassembles. All parts except the base are dishwasher-safe.

The pulse feature comes in handy when chopping, slicing, dicing, shredding, or liquefying ingredients. You'll also use the food processor to mix dough for bread and batter for cookies or muffins. The well-written instruction book gives thorough instructions, lots of tips, and 75 recipes that use all the processor's power to help create tasty treats. --Marcie Bovetz

Editor's note: This is a reconditioned small appliance. Reconditioned generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who returns the appliance to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes.

5.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid 11 cup food processor, October 14, 2002

This review is from: Factory-Reconditioned KitchenAid RRKFP600WH Ultra Power 11-Cup Food Processor, White (Kitchen)
I am not new to food processors, I have 5 of them, each with its own purpose. Several years ago, I purchased an 11 cup Cuisinart. I liked it somewhat but found it confusing and too safety oriented. Then I purchased the KitchenAid ( reconditioned). I love it, I love its simplicity, its ease to operate, its power. I use it every day, sometimes several times. I bake my own bread so the processor is right on my counter.I've had it for two years now. I have even convinced my best friend to purchase one and she loves it too. This is by far the best kitchen tool and the best processor. KitchenAid stands by its products too. Have no fear with this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars KitchenAid Ultra Power 11-Cup Food Processor, Factory-Recon, October 1, 2002

After having surgery on both hands I found myself not being able to do the many things that I loved. But after purchasing the kitchenaid food processor I am now but into the race. I was a bit worried about buying a factory reconditioned item but knowing the kitchenaid brand name I knew that I had made a smart choice. My item came just as new as a new one...I just love it!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Replaced our old one----Finally!, October 7, 2004

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After using our old KitchenAid processor for 20 some years, a plastic part on the bowl broke after a good drop on the floor. Replacement parts are no longer available for that model. The locking mechanism was gone forever. It lasted longer than any other kitchen tool except the KitchenAid mixer, which is still running strong.

This was our replacement. Improvements have been made, such as the small mixing bowl, design etc. Dough is a snap, which is one job for a strong motor and a test of quality. This unit will certainly satisfy the needs of a serious cook. Another 20 years?....I would think so.
