I bought this for breaking up the compacted red clay soil. Upon receipt, the case was alittle beat up but the hammer inside looked new. It works great for my intended purpose (with a shovel bit), and my mason liked it for removing a concrete footing that was poured carelessly. I saved a bunch by buying a factory reconditioned hammer and would recomend to others.
