The model 49-24-0200 Job Site Radio is designed to withstand the harsh punishment professional job sites dish out and continue to rock throughout the workday. The Job Site Radio is designed with high performance in mind and packs one mean audio wallop. Powered by a two-way Rockford Fosgate sound system with a 3-stage Punch EQ bass boost, the Job Site Radio provides both dominating audio energy and clarity. Equipped with a high-end digital tuner and a flexible, 360-degree directional antenna, the Job Site Radio provides crystal clear reception, even in remote areas. The Milwaukee Job Site Radio is made with an impact resistant shell, steel handle and a blow-molded base, all helping protect the radio at the job site, campsite, workshop or any other tough environment. The Job Site Radio can withstand an 8-foot drop to concrete. It operates on 120-volt AC power or 12-, 14.4- and 18-volt Milwaukee Power Plus batteries. It also has an auxiliary stereo input jack for CD, MP3 or most other audio devices. I bought this Factory-Reconditioned for a great price, free super saver shipping, and no tax.

The notice in the box said it had been gone through at the company and was inspected mechanically and electrically.

Rite out of the box the AM radio worked but the FM did not!

All rite now what? I read the warranty, it says one year send it to an authorized service center. I looked it up on line and luck has it there is a shop 1/2 mile from where I work, no postage involved.

Okay, dropped it off figuring two weeks tops. Three weeks and I gave them a call to see what progress had occurred, parts ordered and expected any day.

Six weeks and I dropped by to see what the problem is, parts arrived its on the list maybe today or tomorrow. Parts were back-ordered they usually get them in within a week.

They call after seven and a half weeks, unfortunately it can't be fixed the rep is sending a new one which is not normal procedure.

At eight and a half weeks I have a brand new radio in my hands today. Milwaukee recommended two parts to try for repairs but that didn't work.

I can't give a review on the radio's performance, I thought every one would be interested in the experience I had to this point. Good or bad, I will let you decide.

Milwaukee 49-24-0280 V28 28-Volt Lithium-Ion Job Site Radio

Before purchasing this radio, I also considered the Dewalt & Bosch. This radio is extremely rugged & well-built. Two features that are very useful are the attached pouch with zipper and the power outlet (cigarette lighter). I plug my ipod direct into the aux jack & plug my power adapter into the power outlet and listen to my music seletion on the job for hours.

The sound quality is outstanding, plenty of bass, volume and power, it is a very, very good sounding radio and is the first thing taken out of and put back into my job box each day. Several coworkers are planning to buy one after listening to mine.

My friend had purchased this radio new a few years ago so I have been waiting to buy it as soon as it was in stock. I purchased the refurbished model for $79 but it was still as good as new. The sound quality is amazing and I can plug my cell phone into with the auxilliary input. I played it at my Christmas party and everyone loved it.
