Great deal and saw for the money. They shipped right away. It arrived in slightly used condition with chain in near new condition. No case but who uses those anyways? You have to assemble chain/guide, and adjust chain. Manual is factory manual but not very helpful so it helps to be mechanically inclined and have operated a chainsaw. A bit tough to get started following manual procedure, so I opened the choke up until it fired right up. No problems after initial start. Cuts fine. Not a commercial grade saw but for the price I don't think you can beat this saw- fast, light, vibration free. In fact of all my chainsaws including my professional grade ones this one starts the easiest. I don't understand people reporting starting or running problems. Probably a bad fuel mix or cheap 2 stroke oil or they don't know how to operate a chainsaw. The automatic oiler works great. Near a professional saw in cutting as the chain is quite good. Chains sharpens easily and nicely with 3/16 chainsaw filed They did not drain the chain oil out before shipping so some leaked. Worth saving 80 dollars plus sales tax. If you can afford it buy a Husky, commercial grade saw or use this as a back up. Its good enough you could probably get five years or more in a tree service if you maintained the saw. I liked how light it was. Best deal for the home owner with a lot of trees at the price I got it for. Took down a big pine in no time. Cuts like a hot knife through butter, I was really surprised at how powerful it was for a 46 cc saw. I bought it as a throw-away tool as my other chainsaws were getting their winter workovers and I had to cut a big tree unexpectedly. What I thought I would throw away or give away after this big job I am now going to keep. What a nice surprise this saw was.Read more ›

I don't know this retailer (i bought mine through vm innovations) but this is an AWESOME piece of equipment. for the price or any price. it's just good. starts right up, super strong, vibration reducing grip, very simple to maintain. I had been codling along a Poulan Pro (holy cr$%#p) and now feel stupid for not getting a better saw sooner. Unless you're a professional tree person, you will like this saw. Hell you will like it if you are a professional.

I bought this saw from Home Depot new for ~149$ and have found it adequate for just about any size/type of wood. It starts pretty easily (no more than 3 pulls) and has good power. I was skeptical because of the price at first but now I'm glad I got it. Wood is a big part of my winter life as I run 2 woodstoves exclusively to heat my house. I use just under 10 cords per year and this saw cut all of last year's wood. Fairly lightweight (for a 20") and easy to handle. I mean, if I had the money I woulda got a husky or stihl but for 150 I could not resist and now I'm glad I couldn't.

I genuinely really like this little saw, but It isn't a work horse. I wouldn't be felling trees with it all day, but it does fire wood well enough if you have plenty of time and don't do it all at once.

Pro:
-super light weight! My electric chainsaw is heavier
-starts reliably. On rare occasions I have to pull it 3x's
-cuts well albeit slow
-great price
-the manual is thorough and easy to read
-easy to maintain, which you have to do if you want it to be reliable
-anti-vibe really works. My hands feel just fine after cutting for a while

Cons:
- under powered. Traded power for weight reduction. The saw Requires a fair bit of patience and finesse because it takes awhile to cut anything and the chain binds with not very much pressure
-comes with a safety tip. Yes, it helps against kick back, but so does using the saw properly and not cutting into the dirt and rocks. I tried using that safety tip but found it more of an annoyance than a help, so off it went.
-gets really warm. At first I thought my adjustments were wrong or I was out of oil or fuel mixture was off. Nope. As far as I can tell the saw just runs hotter than the others.

Overall impression:
This little ryobi is a nice looking saw that is in it's element when used by the casual homeowner. It works great for pruning and trimming limbs, and it handles cutting firewood pretty well. It's capable of felling the occasional tree. But, what I like most is the weight of it. I can use this saw all day with out feeling it the next day.

This product is a great deal. Did have to put chain and bar on. This saw works great. Got it for cutting down trees to make a deer food plot and it cuts small trees and very big. Use the saw the way you are suppose to and it works great. Fires up everytime with little effort. Follow the was the saw tells you to fire it up and it will work. The chain brake is amazing as well. Over all this saw will do what I need it to and exceed that. I have bought numerous Ryobi power tools and have been very happy with them. Great price as well

It's a good saw, I've definetly put it through it's paces taking apart a tree that's probably WAY to big for this saw. I give it an A for that, ease of cleaning and chain tension I'll have to give it a C, but really for the cost it's a good deal for home use.
