I have also (as did other reviewers) read alot of reviews for espresso machines of all kinds. Actually did about 8 months of research. Scarey enough... I decided to take a chance on this machine because it perfectly matched my kitchen (eeek). I have been most plesantly rewarded for taking the chance. My machine was purchased directly from Whole Latte Love (fabulous store and customer service). That's the merchant you buy this one from... just by way of AMAZON.

I am not a "coffee expert" I am just a Mom who has had a number of fabulous espresso's/latte's from various gourmet cafe's and I know what I like. This machine is perfect for me. Granted, you must have the ingredients (to add to your latte) to suit your taste. I can make a white chocolate mocha latte that rivals the best!!!

Back to the machine.... The grind is just right and adjustable. It is very easy to operate (fully automatic). Very important to use low oil beans in a fully automatic machine. The oils can "gum up" the grinder. Again Whole Latte Love has a fully automatic starter pack that contains beans with lower oils (one included is the Malabar Gold... I'm still not convinced that should be included.. a bit oily, but great taste). You also need to maintain your machine and not neglect it. It takes me 10 minutes to clean the main carriage in this machine and leave it out to dry. I empty the grounds once a day (not necessary). It's worth a few minutes to keep this machine in top shape. I love it and I love it's ease and convenience. I can have the perfect latte in 4 minutes. My machine was refurbished and came in original box in perfect condition.

Best advice... do your research on how to clean and care for your machine and I think you will be thrilled.

This is a great coffee maker. I have read alot of reviews about it, and mainly the point of failure has been the seals. But no probs yet, and I am glad I bought from Amazon.com because if one does go within the 6 months of purchase, I feel confident it will be repaired or replaced.
