Combining advanced technology with ease of use, this super-automatic espresso machine automatically grinds the right amount of coffee, tamps, brews, and dispenses used grounds into an internal dregdrawer, all at the push of a button. The machine's built-in conical burr grinder offers seven different grind settings, from fine to course, while its Opti-Dose system makes it easy to adjust the amount of ground coffee from 6 to 9 grams per brewing cycle, which affects the strength of the espresso from mild to strong.
The unit also provides a pre-ground bypass doser for using pre-ground decaffeinated or flavored coffee without having to empty the beans in the grinder--great for entertaining. Its Saeco Aroma System injects a small amount of hot water into the freshly ground coffee right before the brewing process in order to extract the best aromas and flavors from the grounds. Even more, Rapid Steam technology reduces the normal waiting time between brewing coffee and steam output to just a few seconds. Use the steam and hot-water wand to froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes, or to dispense hot water for Americanos, tea, hot chocolate, and other drinks. The unit's dual-spout dispensing head can be raised or lowered according to the cup size, easily accommodating 4-ounce espresso cups or 8-ounce coffee mugs.
For added convenience, the machine's LCD display allows for operating the automatic rinsing cycle; the water-hardness test; the brew-temperature settings (set each of the three brew buttons to their own temperature--maximum, high, medium, low, or minimum); nine language options; an automatic descaling cycle; the energy-saving timer; and the total servings counter. Other highlights include an 82-ounce removable water tank, 15-bar pump pressure, three programmable beverage-volume brew buttons, a Bon Temp cup-warming surface, and a slide-out drip tray, as well as a removable brew group for easy rinsing and chemical-free cleaning, and a swivel base for convenient accessibility to all the components. We have had a reconditioned Saeco for 2 years and it produces wonderful coffee. It grinds the beans freshly for each cup, so there is never a stale taste. Never needs repair, fast, better taste at home than in local coffee shops! Really like the three settings, espresso, half cup, and full cup. Best appliance in our kitchen.

The retailer was responsive and refunded my money but this was a hassle! Machine made the three best cups of coffee I have ever had... and then stopped working. I tried everything, cleaning every nook and cranny as directed, to no avail. Maybe it is FACTORY REFURBISHED BECAUSE IT IS A LEMON?!
