This was the second one I bought. The first one was good, the second one was junk. The battery doesn't last as long as it should. They should always give a new battery with reconditioned units.

I purchased these to give as gifts to co-workers. The Screwdrivers work GREAT...

I was fortunate to find this item on sale for less than five bucks, and have been very pleased with the quality, power and battery life. Too often my old B&Ds have given up after a short time, but this Skil tool has held up well under normal use. Get it!

Works great, seems to hold its charge very well. It doesn't have a light, which is a nice feature for a cordless screwdriver, but hey, it's only 5 bucks! Also, I like the rocker switch for forward/reverse action instead of a separate switch. You don't have to go searching for the other switch.

The screw bit works fine for me, but it accepts standard hex bits so you can buy a different one for 25 cents. Actually, I like the stock bit because it's a little longer than usual and lets you get into tighter spaces. And the size is in line with every other cordless screwdriver I've used.

I'd probably give it five stars if it had a light. But for five bucks...

I bought this as a filler for the shipping. i've tried to use it a few times but...well here are the problems

lack of power, this thing is weak.

the screw bit (flat and phillip) that it comes with are too big (don't fit) for jobs that this thing is designed for.

don't get this, it sucks, I only paid 5bucks for it and i'm still giving it a 1 out of 5

My first thoughts on seeing this item was that it was bigger than it looked in the picture. It's about 9x2x1.5 inches, not including the bit. Not exactly pocket-sized, but hey, it's cheap.

Since it's a refurb it came in a generic white box with the skil logo all over. Inside were the screwdriver, charger (somewhat dusty), and bit.

There were no instructions to speak of.

Also note that "recon" (as in reconditioned) was carved into the side.

If you just need a screwdriver for small jobs, you should pick this up when this website puts it on sale cheap (I bought at under five doll ars).
