The authors help the reader to develop a more balanced view of eating. Much of the information they present will be familiar to most readers. However, the book will help readers to identify the mainstream views of doctors and nutritionists, to justify those views and to apply them. This removes the confusion resulting from the proliferation of "fringe"...

The authors of this book have not reviewed the latest research on nutrition. Consequently, their book will not tell you more than you already know. If you know that vegetables are good for you, you don't need this book. That is all you will learn.
