5.0 out of 5 stars Good read
Very enjoyable read for all those interested in aviation archaeology or wreck hunting. I'm not familiar with any of the crashes mentioned in the book but found the writeups to be well detailed with lots of photos. Of special interest were the crashes where the survivors returned to the site and shared their thoughts on what had happened to them. Will sit very nicely...

2.0 out of 5 stars missing a key element
Whole reason I bought this book was so my kid and I might go look at the locations ourselves.

Although it's a fun read it's like buying a trail guide with no locations given.

There should be a disclaimer on the book I would not have bought it if I would have known.

Trey Brandt's storytelling style is both engaging and informative. He uses historical detail to paint a vivid picture of the events that took place on the fateful day of each wreck he has discovered. I'm not a history buff but, I found this book to be quite an enjoyable read.

I hope there will be a sequel to this book. I enjoyed not only the technical details, but the stories of the survivors. Imagine the surviving family members receiving personal items such as a set of dog tags or a ring, lost over 50 years ago, and gaining closure by visiting the crash site.
