My imagination has always run rampant, aided and abetted by my Muse, Iffy. She runs with scissors--a lot--and can be quite dangerous! Over the course of my lifetime, I've been a military officer's wife, mother, state appellate court marshal, airport rescue firefighter and forensic fire photographer, crime analyst, and technical crime scene investigator. Silver James knows how to weave a tale that captivates the reader and gives them everything they could want in one story. Faerie Fire is an amazing, heart-wrenching tale of two lovers from the past with another chance. Both are determined to have a different outcome of the tragic ending they suffered in their previous lives. Duncan is a tough yet tender hero, alpha-male with just the right dose of softness. Moira is strong-willed, kind, and beautiful--although she's unaware of her own beauty, which only makes her more admirable. There is an entire cast of compelling characters that came to life for me in this story. Although you'll shed a few tears along the way, you don't want to miss the ride Faerie Fire takes you on.

OMG, this book was awesome. I can't, for the life of me, figure out what took my so damn long to buy this and read it. Holy cow. The romance part is incredible. The paranormal part was well laid out. The suspense part provides just the right amount of tension. And the culmination of both were extremely satisfying.
