3.0 out of 5 stars Good, solid part of the series
Book #5 of the Faerie Path isn't as exciting as some of the earlier books, but it does continue on the journey of the princesses through Faerie. We reconnect with old friends, and the ending is a surprise. If you have enjoyed this series you will like this book, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars My review for books 1-5- All in all Wonderful!, April 2, 2011
I have actually read the whole series before, and I decided to reread it when The Charmed Return came out just to refamiliarize myself with everything. I can honestly say that this time, just as much as the first time, I have loved this series. It is a fantastic young adult series. It is a good clean novel that is very age appropriate, yet it is still fun and exciting and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I tend to stick to young adult novels because I like the fact that there isn't a lot of if any cursing or inappropriate behavior, so I appreciate it even more for this.

The writing of Frewin Jones is amazing. Not just the story itself, but the actual writing of the story. The punctuation was great, the sentence structuring was great. You don't really realize just how much bad writing can affect a novel until you read a story with such good writing. Anita/Princess Tania is a very well rounded, smart, self reliant and strong main character. All of the supporting characters can hold up the story in their own right. You can really understand what that character would feel, and you take it to heart. The setting of this series, in the Mortal World as well as the Faerie Realm, comes alive. The writer gives enough description that you can close your eyes and imagine yourself in London or in the Faerie Palace or Bronwn Tyr. The story itself is a fast paced story that keeps you interested. It grows and evolves throughout the stories instead of just having the same story told yet again.

If you love great stories, even if you may not be a fan of faerie stories, I encourage you to give this story a try. Young adults, or adults like me, I honestly think if you give it a chance, you will be just as pleased as I have been.

This is my first review, so forgive me if it isn't great. I will do my best to improve! Hope this helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book in the series!, January 1, 2011
If you like the Faerie Path series so far, you will be blown away by this book! It's full of so much action and surprise, and Jones' imagination is wonderful! And what an ending! I can't wait for book six, THE CHARMED RETURN, and I'm pre ordering it right now! I loved this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too, November 7, 2010
This review is from: Faerie Path #5: The Enchanted Quest (Hardcover)
A strange and mysterious illness is taking over the land of Faerie, and a member of the royal family falls ill.

Tania must go on a journey to find the cure. Her family, and the people of her land, are counting on her. The mortal Connor and Rathina, Tania's sister, accompany her on the trip. The trio encounter many challenges and surprises they must overcome.

Will Tania be able to find the cure? Or will she let her people down?

Wow! What a journey! There were so many obstacles that Tania and her traveling mates had to deal with. There are several surprises in this one. Some of the challenges are unexpected, and one member of the group is not completely honest. But I won't give away who!

Once again, there are so many things that I don't want to ruin that it's hard to review this book. I'll just say that I really enjoyed it. I flew through it and easily got caught up in the world of Faerie.

And the ending - I definitely did not see that coming at all! I really want to read the next book in the series, THE CHARMED RETURN, but I guess I'll have to wait until it comes out.

I review a lot of young adult fiction for my seventh grade students and the Fairy Path series is one of the most enjoyable. The Enchanted Quest is the best of the series so far.
