5.0 out of 5 stars Critics beware!
I have to laugh at the critics of this deck and the books by Kisma Stepanich,. I happen to own them all and their claims of not giving credit to other authors is a bald faced lie! Look you will see them listed! As for pronounication and spelling, anyone who has ever been to Ireland knows that there are different dialects and ways to spell the same thing. As for those...

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT THE REAL THING........
Where do I begin? Shallow, pseudo-historical, rehashed, cobbled together stuff, this deck & book represent neither Wiccan nor Faery traditions accurately. I'm not sure what it is trying to be, maybe it isn't either.

The pretty cards and page upon page of old Irish tales don't make up for the fact that there's nothing much of substance, or new, here....

As for those Americans telling us what the real Ancient Irish Faith is, come on, be for real! How do you know? You are modern Americans, not Ancient Irish!THe critics are only self-serving detractors with a personal axe to grind! I own all of these books and the deck and they are truly the best ones I've ever worked with! Those who criticize would be better off learning how to walk their talk instead of detracting others! Walking in perfect love and perfect trust is one of the beautiful lessons this series teaches us. The detractors could sure use this lesson. A question; do the detractors consider themselves Pagan or Wiccan? If they do, perhaps they had better examine their motives and open their minds and see this series for what it is.; teaching the real thrust of the Pagan and Wiccan religions, to do all in love while walking the path of beauty in oneness with all of creation. Are they doing so? Look at their reviews, I think not! Who is real then? Buy it, you will not be sorry! A must have for anyone who wants to walk in the Love of the Faery!

4.0 out of 5 stars a good tarot deck and system, but very complicated., December 29, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Faery Wicca Tarot Kit: Ancient Faery Tradition of Ireland (Paperback)
i found the faery wicca tarot deck and book an incredible deck. the art work is delightful and thought provoking, although the white blazes containing names of various characters portrayed therein are disturbing to the entire setting of the cards. i do not feel i could use these cards for doing readings for myself or others as the system is specific to the irish mythological cycles, and there does not seem to be a clear way to correlate the various cards with one another. however, i find that they are an excellent tool for studying and understanding the celtic myths, and for pathwork, meditation etc.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate tarot deck for those attracted to a Celtic path, August 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Faery Wicca Tarot Kit: Ancient Faery Tradition of Ireland (Paperback)
For those who are drawn to Celtic myth this is the Tarot deck for you. The images are breathtaking and draw you virtually into the cards themselves. Excellent ques for meditations. The book that comes with this deck, will become an indispensable resource for anyone who is drawn to Celtic Goddesses and Gods and the myths surrounding them. The best value I have ever recieved from any tarot deck, and I have owned about 15 decks so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars Try it, December 10, 2004
This review is from: Faery Wicca Tarot Kit: Ancient Faery Tradition of Ireland (Paperback)
Let me start out by saying that this deck has beautiful artwork which does resonate with me on one level. Thought i am not wiccan I bought these cards and Kismas other 2 Faery books and am glad to have them. Kisma has been accused of being false in her presentation but I just dont see it. Kisma Stepanich has presented a very in depth journey in these cards, she has opened the doors to higher consciousness and I reccomend people who are drawn to it most assuredly try it. Good luck on your journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars I liked it! I don't care what anyone else thinks., November 21, 2002

Rebekah "spiritone" (Alabama, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Faery Wicca Tarot Kit: Ancient Faery Tradition of Ireland (Paperback)
I never really used any other cards but these (I've owned a Rider-Waite deck I didn't resonate with), and I still think these are useful and insightful. I don't find the deck too complicated as some say, but then I am not attempting any spreads, just one card readings that usually give the answer my heart peacefully acknowledges as truth. Another reviewer stated that the cards have "spot-on accuracy" and are of a "revelation nature", and I find this description accurate with regards to my own experience.

I've read the reviews of others on this site, and I'm certainly not closed-minded to the idea that perhaps the "lore" is inaccurate...but I'm glad I never knew of the possibility till after I used and loved the deck! It is a deck worth knowing, for me. Also, if I had read the reviews before I bought it, I wouldn't have bought it, because I'm quite anal about the accuracy of things.

The deck has been intensely insightful for me, personally, so I can easily forgive any potential inaccuracies or made-up histories. Besides, I'd be interested to see if this other reviewer (who said "to claim it isn't correct by their knowledge is at best being a fundamentalist in a very unfundamentalist religion") might not have a point.

Also, I have to consider this: I personally refuse to subscribe to any path in a fundamentalist fashion; I pick the aspects of each "religion" or "path" that are right for me and they are amalgamated into my daily life. If I were to personally write a spiritually inspired book or anything else, it would most likely be a work of "cobbled together stuff", those elements from varying sources that fit into my mind and heart like puzzle pieces, even if they didn't come from paths with identical "titles". Maybe that's what the author of this tarot deck was doing, (if the negative reviewers happen to be right!) who knows. I like the deck, dang it.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE REAL DEAL ... FAERY FAITH COMES ALIVE!!!, January 31, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Faery Wicca Tarot Kit: Ancient Faery Tradition of Ireland (Paperback)
The author has out done herself. Carefully researched and masterfully presented. This tarot deck is FANTASTIC!

There isn't another deck like this one and clearly that's because this deck reflects the author's path workings and years of research, interviews and well thought out writings. For those on the path, it is clear that this deck surpasses the ones that came before it.

Already in it's second printing, this deck is being requested from South Africa to Canada and for good reason.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ALL WHO WORK WITH THE FAERY!

At last, the long awaited FAERY WICCA TAROT is out. The cards are absolutely beautiful and filled with deep Bardic teachings. To have the book alone is also a treasure. Kisma continues to guide us deeper into the power of Faery. Filled with magick and awe, this kit will add a new depth to your Celtic and Irish practices and research library.

This Tarot set is a CLASSIC of garbled New Age nonsense, a real NEED NOT HAVE, and COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY to anyone who wants to work with the Faery.

I am disappointed.....
