Product Description

Not only can you use this pot for conveniently cooking and draining pasta of all shapes and sizes, you can also use it to cook asparagus, corn on the cob, crustaceans of various species, veggies and so on. The aluminum within the base makes heating fast and even, while the glass lid allows you to monitor the cooking process without disrupting it. And when the meal is over, all the pieces go into the dishwasher for trouble-free clean up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Multi-purpose Pot, November 1, 2007
This review is from: Fagor 4-Piece 12-Quart Multipot (Kitchen)
I have been looking for a multipot for awhile now that would work with an induction cooktop and wouldn't cost hundreds of dollars. The Fagor 12-quart fits the bill. I wanted something that that I could cook pasta in, steam veggies, boil a whole chicken or cabbage in without having to use a lot of water. (A lot of pots are wide and short, but not tall) This pot is sturdy and cleans up well. While looking for this pot I read reviews for the 8 quart version and most of the comments for it applies here; the metal lid knob gets pretty hot, so be careful. The bottom of the pot is not seamless with the sides, so I don't know if there will be a separation issue down the road or not. Time will tell. For what I need this pot to do and for the price it is perfect though. By the way, with a little over halfway full (7 quarts?) of water and it came to a boil in just under 12 minutes on my induction.
