Although I must admit I was tempted to buy one of the other super expensive brands. I took a chance with Fagor on this pan. I've owned one of their pressure cookers for over 10 years and have nothing but great things to say about it! Similarly, I found this pan to be excellent. It's great for making breakfast, lunch and dinner. (not just for paella!) It has a nice wide flat nonstick surface and the handles don't get burning hot when its on the stove..you can even bake with it in the oven.....believe me, its a {deal} for this price! I also went ahead and bought the 8 quart multipot and and the oval roaster from this line and they're all excellent additions to my kitchen.

IT serves many purposes not just for paella. Its wide so you can cook meats in it. eggs, pancakes-kinda anice griddle like pan . Also I have cooked different rice dishes in it. Plus my own paella recipe. Its a very beautiful looking pan and holds up wonderful very durable and useful.
