This nifty pan set can poach eggs, steam asparagus, and sauté mushrooms, not all at the same time, but still, the compact unit is impressive. The 8-1/2-inch sauté pan and sturdy steamer are both made of durable 18/10 stainless steel (the pan in a brushed finish), as are the long handles. When you want to poach eggs instead of steam veggies, place the poaching frame in the steamer, with water below in the pan and the glass lid on top. The four egg cups are lined with a nonstick surface, and each has its own handle, as does the frame itself. After cooking, all the parts can go into the dishwasher. A recipe book is included to get your creative juices flowing.

Makes really great poached eggs. Make sure you spray the cups or they will stick even though they claim they are non stick. Very happy with the product.

I bought the pan for its egg-poaching capability, but when my son-in-law saw the steamer insert he was delighted, and announced that "we'll never have to cut asparagus again!"
