Shack Attack!!!,

First off, I am glad that JCS is still around and making new records. I have enjoyed all of their albums, "Fail On Cue" included. I've read some other reviews where FOC has been described as flat, boring, etc.. While it's nowhere near their greatest album, it's still good fun. But, something is bound to be lost when your bands lineup changes between every album... My personal favorite albums from JCS are "Pushing the Salmanilla Envelope" and "Bring Your Own Stereo". But, I dig all their stuff. I will say, FOC was the most difficult to track down on cd. I eventually caved in and ordered it online. I feel it was well worth the money I paid. It's just a good album. Plain and simple. Check it out!

Of all their music, this is my least favorite title. I liked maybe two songs and would not recommend purchasing (at least at full price).

Fail on Cue isn't exactly a rock classic, but it doesn't suck either.,

The Good"17" [sample] compares life today to life when you were just a teenager. It's never quite clear if making choices today like you did years ago is a good thing. "Caught Down" has hints of a ska influnce, but still maintains a melodic sheen. "Mutha Luvas" on the other hand is pure ska. Jimi Haha manages to be funny and dead serious at the same time. "The Quiet Ones" mixes acoutic tones with electric riffage. The track fools you into a ballad like state, but as the emotion changes, so does the music. I had quite the chuckle when I heard the opening lyrics to "Making Babies." Jimi doesn't want to be described as alternative or indie (two words I just used above). He goes on to apologize for a lot of musical misgivings and thensome. The Bad Nothing notable The Verdict When a band doesn't take themselves too seriously, can write a catchy tune, and writes about stuff you can relate to; they're alright in my book. Fail on Cue isn't exactly a rock classic, but it doesn't suck either.
