More than 'Fair England's Shore',

This review is from: Fair England's Shore (Audio CD)
Another lovely Peter Bellamy release from 'Fellside Recordings' in the U.K. It's more than a fair release because it includes not one, but three albums collected over two discs. We have the first three Peter Bellamy albums: 'Mainly Norfolk', 'Fair England's Shore' and 'The Fox Jumped Over the Parsons Gate' All recorded between 1968 and 1969.This represents great value. The big Amazon price here I believe is for an Import Via Australia. You should be able to pick up this U.K. release for a great deal less. The quality of all 3 albums is universally high. If you can deal with the Peter Bellamy Voice, it's an acquired taste, then this is a great slab of traditional English Folk. Not a bad place to start if you want to explore his solo work. Peter Bellamy also did many Rudyard Kipling related songs and albums, check out 'Oak, Ash and Thorn' for that flip side of his work.
