Basically a two character drama, FAIR GAME is the chilling story of a psychotic ex-husband who seeks a deadly revenge on the wife who spawned him...he places a deadly black mamba in her apartment, locks her in, and kills her phones so she can't call for help. Trudie Styles, the lovely wife of rock star Sting, has the demanding role of the threatened wife and although she's not a Meryl Streep by any means, she handles her role adequately. Smarmy Gregg Henry (the villain from BODY DOUBLE) does well as the sicko husband, and the snake, well, he's pretty good too. The movie has some suspenseful moments and a trick ending. Giorgio Moroder contributes his typical electronic score which is effective, although the TAKE MY BREATH AWAY clone theme song is a little too much. All in all, though, a nice little thriller.

Fair Game is a movie that can easily be slept on because its a low budget film with a small and fairly unknown cast. Nevertheless, being that the film is mainly focused on a woman(Trudie Styler) being stalked in her windowless loft by an extremely venomous snake while her possesive ex-husband(Gregg Henry), who purposely locked her in, tracks the progress of this life-threatening predator vs. prey game via electronic sensors. This hitchcock-like storyline will have you on the edge of your seat. There are some things that could have been better suspense catchers, but I overlooked them seeing that the budget of the film was limited; Yet, your attention span to tolerate the film is unaffected by this(especially seeing that the film is only 83 minutes long).

My wife is watching this as we speak and were it possible to go negative stars I would. Easily the most ridiculous premise and worst movie I have seen in a long, long, long, long time. I was rooting for the snake.
