Product Description

Super-charged erotica from the award-winning author of Show and Tell.

Josie doesn't need a man-unless it's for a night of no-strings-attached sex. And Kyle Perry is perfect for that. Except that Josie soon finds they have a professional tie that will bring them together again. And again.

Now, Josie and Kyle engage in a battle of wills in business and in pleasure. What begins as a hot diversion of domination turns into an intimate game, where the role of slave and master shifts with each erotic move. But as the games escalate, they find themselves becoming bound by something stronger than they ever imagined.

About the Author

Jasmine Haynes lives in the California mountains with her husband. She loves writing hot, sexy romances.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Kisses, TwoLips Reviews, June 11, 2009
By
Linda D. Crooks (Twinsburg, OH USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fair Game (Mass Market Paperback)
Kyle Perry is on his way to his office and Josie Tybrook is on her way to a meeting with a new customer that she's anxious to impress. They bump into each other - quite literally - in the elevator, and the crush of bodies gives them an excuse to rub up against each other. For two complete strangers, the unexpected encounter brightens their respective days.

Of course, Josie quickly learns that her meeting is with none other than Kyle Perry, the man she just brazenly groped in the elevator. The meeting goes well, and he propositions her. She turns him down, not wanting to risk the bad stuff that comes with mixing business and pleasure.

Kyle is persistent but not obnoxious about it. He gets her to masturbate for him in his car, she gets him to wear her thong to work the next day. She's all about proving herself at work, and not letting herself be emotionally vulnerable. She likes to be in control, and letting Kyle take her past her comfort zone is both terrifying and exhilarating. Kyle is a temptation she just can't resist. A battle of wills ensues, with shifting domination and control.

When their professional relationship gets even more complicated, they'll both have to decide just how much their personal relationship means to them.

Jasmine Haynes does it again with her delicious erotic contemporary Fair Game. This is one terrific book, with deep passion and sizzling eroticism. The chemistry between Kyle and Josie is explosive and the lingerie dressing room scene is so hot, it should come with a fire extinguisher. I especially like how the author pushes the boundaries of what you normally find in mainstream romance, or even in most erotic romances.

She always writes intelligent, likeable and multi-dimensional characters, and this book is no exception. Josie's character has the potential to be a raging bitch, and there are times I have trouble relating to the choices she makes, but I love seeing how her character matures and grows as the story progresses. Kyle is patient and yummy. Fair Game is definitely a keeper.

5 Kisses, 2 Peppers (light bondage, domination, anal play, exhibitionism)

5.0 out of 5 stars Reviewed by Romance Junkies!, June 2, 2009
This review is from: Fair Game (Mass Market Paperback)
A simple, risqué act in an elevator comes back to haunt Josie Tybrook when she meets the man she will be working with on a new project. It seems with one sensuous touch she has turned their relationship into FAIR GAME.

Irritated at her boss and late for a meeting when she prides herself on her punctuality, Josie Tybrook rushes onto an elevator. There she can't help but notice the sexy man sharing the space. In a single act of naughtiness, Josie presses herself in front of Mr. Man and proceeds to fondle him naughtily. After all, he is the hottest thing she has seen in a very long time. Josie isn't worried about her impulsiveness; once she leaves the elevator she'll never see him again, right? Ten minutes later Josie wants to crawl into the nearest hole as she is stunned and completely mortified. Not only is she seeing the man from the elevator again, but his name is Kyle Perry and she is set to work with him on a new project. Elusive glances are all she can give him at the moment until after the meeting is finished. Once that happens, all bets are off.

Kyle Perry is late for a meeting with a representative he is supposed to be working with on his latest project. Hurrying into the elevator, Kyle can't help but notice the strikingly sexy woman standing near him. When she moves in front of him and blatantly touches him, he is stunned but aroused. That one touch is enough to burn his brain because Kyle forgets what he is doing or why. When she steps off the elevator and gives him a smile worthy of any siren, Kyle is caught - hook, line, and sinker. Imagine his surprise when the very person he is supposed to work with turns out to be his mystery woman. Once their meeting ends, the challenge begins.

Kyle and Josie embark upon a sensual but secret affair full of erotic challenges that neither wants to lose. Exhibitionism, naughty games - nothing is taboo where this couple is concerned except for the most basic emotion - love. That emotion is the one thing Josie will not discuss, ever. Kyle knows he has a big job to accomplish. As far as he is concerned, Josie and her heart are FAIR GAME and he plans on winning both.

FAIR GAME is like Norman Love chocolates - decadent, delicious and impossible to keep from devouring. I couldn't stop reading after one chapter - I had to finish this entire book in one setting. And I did. Jasmine Haynes started FAIR GAME out with a scene unlike any I have read. Josie's touching of Kyle in the elevator set the `scene' so to speak on their relationship. She was content to keep it illicit and informal. She was fully in charge of her heart and refused to think beyond the here and now. Her heart had been crushed before and Josie was flat out stubborn enough not to want to risk it again. But risk it she did. Kyle was a bit easier to figure out. I loved watching him realize that the games he and Josie were playing were slowly becoming so much more. His falling in love with Josie was a given. Making her accept his love and gives hers in return was not. That's what made her capitulation that much sweeter.

Cranking up the heat and eroticism with FAIR GAME, Jasmine Haynes proves yet again her ability to tell a highly emotional and unique love story. Kyle and Josie's love scenes were scorching hot, wickedly exciting, and secretly sinful. FAIR GAME is worthy of any keeper shelf; just make sure it is air conditioned!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fair Game, September 5, 2009
This review is from: Fair Game (Mass Market Paperback)
Josie Tybrook is late for a meeting and furious because her boss has stood her up. Now she doesn't have the materials to give to the clients like she should. One bright spot is the guy she just kind of met in the elevator. Thinking she will never see this man again, Josie does something she never would have in a crowded elevator but wow was it sexy and put her in a really good mood. Now on to her meeting with a smile.

Kyle Perry is running late for a meeting at his office but on the way he is accosted in the elevator by a sexy woman that he has never met. Taken totally by surprise and not in a bad way, Kyle just goes with the feelings and totally forgets where he is going until she steps off. Imagine his surprise when his mystery woman is the same one he will be working with for this project.

Josie makes it through the meeting without anyone realizing her embarrassment upon meeting all the people she would be working with. But Kyle is not going to let this go and instead challenges Josie to yet another bit of sexy exhibitionism that leads into the erotic form of fun and games. Now Josie is in a game she isn't sure she can win and keep her heart safe. Kyle loves the fun and games he is having with Josie and has decided that he needs to learn the keys to the prickly outside so he can reach the soft and loving inside. Josie and Kyle are discovering that the best type of love is with someone you can lose all control with and be a bit crazy with, knowing they will be there to support and hold you.

How do you keep your personal life and business life separate, Josie is trying to figure that out in Fair Game. Josie is a project manager on a job at Kyle's company, not a bad thing until you remember how they met. Kyle has been searching for someone to play with and he might have finally found her in Josie. When Josie and Kyle begin their games, she sets firm rules but rules are made to be broken. The eroticism between Josie and Kyle is immediate and just keeps getting hotter and hotter. I was pleasantly surprised by the challenges they went on while still trying to keep their work and personal lives separate. There were a couple of times I seriously wanted to ask Josie what she was thinking, but I discovered the problem later on. When it seemed all was lost and could not be regained, Josie once again surprised me to keep her man. I loved Fair Game while at the same time found it very erotic and mischievous. This is a keeper for my erotic shelf.
