More About the Author

David Riche 1938- was born in Cricklewood, London, grew up in London through the second world war, and was educated there at Mill Hill School. He joined the family Haute coiffure, fashion design, and cosmetics business but made a career change into consumer electronics with Japanese companies Sanyo and Marubeni and later with a European Manufacturer, retiring thirty years later. "It's not often one meets a fairy that changes your life" he says "Frankly I had always been a sceptic up to that point, but synchronicity simply connected me the light and energy of the Earth and it changed my life!"

The combination of Electronics and Fairy /Fantasy Art became his fascination and helping emerging artists into the world wide web a celebrated cause for him to be asked to create books of this new surge of art interest. The Art of Faery , The World of Faery , Water Color Fairies, 500 Fairy Motifs, and Fairies Art Studio are recognized works of this new genre of artists who themselves have gone on to have works published and licensed by manufacturers. Known affectionately as the Fairy Godfather his websites continue to be a recognized source of information and encouragement to artists worldwide and a growing source for appreciative collectors worldwide of his books.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not sure about this one yet April 24, 2010

It seems kind of like a color-book for the computer. Load line drawings, mix & match the parts and clothes and color them in. A child would probably love it but I'm not sure whether I'm going to keep it or not.

4.0 out of 5 stars How to Draw Fairies November 21, 2010
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book for my wife. She likes to paint fairies in watercolor. She has several status of fairies. She loved the Frog fairy in this book. She was having some difficulty putting together the various parts of the fairies. We have the software. We just need to get more familiar with using it.
