This small book is a colorful delight that your child will enjoy for hours! The unique feature is a little fold-out fairy house in a pocket in the back cover, which is said to attract fairies. Very cute and imaginative concept.

This book was a gift for me before I became a parent - it is so artistically beautiful that it belongs in the collection of every person who has ever believed in fairies and plans to share them with their own children.

My son became enchanted with the fairy book and very importantly, the fairy house, at a very early age. Lately, we have been using the fairy house for our messages and presents for and from the tooth fairy (fairy dust is very helpful for this purpose too) and this book is still a favorite read when we work on our ABC's.

Ms Keith's imaginative and expansive use of vocabulary and rhymes is so beyond the normal course of children's books, and the artistry is excellent. This is one to keep and pass down to grandchildren and great grandchildren.

I am so so so sad to see that this has gone out of print. I must have bought a dozen of these as gifts when my children were in preschool and kindergarden. On thew surface a simple alphabet poem, but imbued with imagination in both words and pictures; a delightful fantasy which will engage your child's imagination beyond what can reasonably be expected of a little alphabet book. Wendy's use of color is brilliant! Now a nationally recognized, award-winning jeweler: see where it all started. (I came back here after looking her up to see where the journey has taken her and am thrilled to see that she is still evolving as an artist and producing brilliant fantastical works).

The book came with a little fairy house which my daughter used to leave tidbits in every evening... and then check every morning for signs of visitation :) a really wonderful ritual. I have to thank Wendy and Adrienne for inspiring years of imaginative flight in our house, and hope this is brought back into print as little else has brought us so much delight!

If you buy one used (and, I guess it is the only way to get one now) inquire about the fairy house... you will want it, a truly wonderful little object! amazon does have other books of hers available. They are all gems!

Fun book. Smaller than I thought. It was used, so unfortunately it didn't come with the fairy box in the back, which means, while it was in great condition, can't really give as gift as originally intended.
