5.0 out of 5 stars A Dream came true..., May 16, 2004
This review is from: Fairly Odd Parents Video Volume 1 (Video Game)
I just got this gameboy video, and I am VERY happy! Whenever I want to watch my favorite episode, I turn on my game boy! The picture is okay, but the color is not filled in that well(it helps to watch froma little distance). I'd give picture 8/10. Sound is also okay, but not sterio sounding. i give it a 7/10. Who needs old black and white videonow! Just one teeny tiny mistake in the manual (probably because i got the one of the first shipment of gbavideos) It says press A to make it darker and b to make it brighter...it's the other way around! Overall, i give it a 9.5/10!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun On the Go, July 14, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Fairly Odd Parents Video Volume 1 (Video Game)
This a great thing to own, I mean who doesn't want to have Fairly Oddparents cartoons with them on the go? Especially when you can watch them directly on your Gameboy SP or DS anytime and anywhere.
The picture is nice but the coloring is a little off and it benefits if you watch it from a bit of a distance. The audio is good but sounds better if your using headphones instead of listening to it outloud.
Overall it's a great thing to have for any fan of the series and if you can I suggest you get your hands on it.
This one includes the episodes Foul Balled, The Boy Who Would be Queen, and the Information Stupor Highway

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Convenient , But the Quality Takes a Hit, October 11, 2009

Good:
This cartridge has 3 Fairy Odd Parents episodes, one that is double length, which rounds out to be about 45 minutes of video. You can pause, fast forward, rewind, and skip scenes. You even adjust the brightness of the video, which is a nice touch. The menu's and interface is very slick too, and since this is a GBA cartridge you'll be able to watch these episodes anywhere! I also got this for only $2, which is totally worth it.

Bad:
It only has three episodes, so if you don't like one of them it may not be worth it. The real killer though is the quality of the sound and picture. At some spaces the color is all wrong, small objects become lumpy and overall it definitely leaves something to be desired.

Overall:
Good: Slick menus, many options, portability
Bad: Only 3 episodes, sound and audio quality is so-so

Got this for my 6 year old grandson, since he was always taking his older brother's gameboy. Got him a Gameboy from Amazon (used) also, so he was all set to go and the big brother did not have to worry about his "stuff". Now they are both happy and can switch games when they want.

4.0 out of 5 stars Funny tv show, not too much of a replay value, August 19, 2004

So who the heck are The Fairly Odd Parents, and why do they have a videogame? I'll answer that in one single long winded sentence. The Fairly Odd Parents is the name of a cartoon show on Nickelodeon (comes on Fridays and Saturdays) which stars 10-year-old Timmy Turner, a boy (voiced by Tara Strong) who is `blessed' by the presence of the goofy, magical little floaty people, also referred to as Fairy Godparents, which, while sometimes assisting Timmy with his own problems, usually make things wackier then they were previously. Got it? Okay, now the shows pretty popular, and Nick has, of course, marketed the heck out of The Fairly Odd Parents, from DVD's to toys to videogames! Only this is nothing like the other Fairly Odd Parents Gameboy Advance title, Breakin Da Rules; this is a "GBA Video", which basically means it's not a game at all, more like a 45 minute DVD, only it's a cartridge. And you have to watch it on the tiny Gameboy Advance screen. And it costs $19.99 for three fifteen minute episodes. Worst of all, I sat and watched this whole thing (one episode twice, even) and it's actually really funny, so yeah. I like the TV show, but this is only three episodes, so how much is the repeat value?
