Ok, for anyone still remotely considering purchasing this thing...let me add my voice to the already spot-on reviews pointing out how utterly worthless it is.
Do yourself a favor instead and just pull-out the ten bucks (or whatever they're asking for this collection of plastic refuse at the moment) and burn, shred, or flush your dough down the toilet...cause the result of purchasing this clunker essentially amounts to the same thing. Incompatible with almost everything system-wise...when it finally does "activate", the movement is so weak you're likely to see more action watching hair grow. It offers no discernable wit, humor or "fun" to the onlooking suckers who bought it. 'Course, maybe the guys that sell it are having a laugh. Junk.

Does NOT work with current Windows version 7 and when I purchased, was not stated on the website. Item is useless and can not be used at all, it is only compatable with older computers. USELESS TO ME!

I have no idea if this if a fun toy or not as it doesn't work under Win7.

Unfortunately the Chatterbot was discontinued before the software was update to support windows 7.

Avoid at all costs

This product looked like a real good joke gift for someone who uses the computer a lot. But it is really not much fun. I could not find anyone who wanted this gift even free! I put it away until next Christmas hoping someone will want it.

Bummer ......I bought a few of these as what I thought would be "funny" gifts this past Holiday season, well they were a royal pain to get working, they do NOT work with Windows 7 but will work on a Mac or earlier Windows versions. Even after installed they were not so entertaining, we hooked it up listened & unhooked it & put it away................awaiting the next white elephant present needed!

You get a kick out of what the desktop item comes up with. Cute and funny

Gave this as a gift . when we finally figured it out it really did not do much. Threw it in the garbage.. nothing but pure annoyance.

Well he looks really great, but unfortunately haven't been able to make him work with our system yet. Instructions that come with him imply plug him in an off you go. Going to have to contact the techies to determine if he can work with windows 7 or vista. Great idea, but short on ability. Not using the Dog/cat at this time.
