The first live album from AAE, August 11, 2011

All About Eve started as a Gothic band but became more mainstream rock as they attained more popularity after their first eponymous album. The other studio albums were "Scarlet and Other Stories" and "Touched By Jesus", followed a lot later by "Ultraviolet." Part of this was due to the breakup of the original band, and later fall off in popularity of the band with their substitute players and the lack of new material after the first and most popular album. But this album contains several songs that are hard to find on other releases and on the studio albums, apart from versions on the various CD and vinyl singles. The performances on this album are good, but sound quality is less good than the studio albums. The companion album to this, "Fairy Light Nights Two" is also a must have complement with ten additional songs.
The CD artwork includes photos taken by Julianne Regan, informal comments by the band, and a superb black and white double page photo of the band in performance. It's well worth having just for the artwork and insert, let alone the music! If you get this, don't miss out on Fairy Light Nights Two.
