5.0 out of 5 stars For All Who Would Not Suffer From Reality
I have an automatic, knee jerk relax response to Singh Kaur's voice. This dates back to my first discovery of her series of chants done on the independent
Invincible label with Kim Robertson on harp. This Crimson collection is the closest thing to 'healing music that I have ever heard. Unfortunately, the set has to be sought out or ordered, and many people...

Calming, very good for a restless night, gives you peaceful thoughts of fairies dancing around at night...Singh Kaurs voice is pretty...Please listen to 'Fairy Ring', track #2, and 'Lauras Hill', track #7......well, all I have to say for now....

5.0 out of 5 stars For All Who Would Not Suffer From Reality, April 23, 2005
This review is from: Fairy Night Songs (Audio CD)
I have an automatic, knee jerk relax response to Singh Kaur's voice. This dates back to my first discovery of her series of chants done on the independent
Invincible label with Kim Robertson on harp. This Crimson collection is the closest thing to 'healing music that I have ever heard. Unfortunately, the set has to be sought out or ordered, and many people simply have never heard what is one of the most powerful voices in new age music.

So it was with some delight that I discovered this collection done under Gary Stadler's aegis. Now albums entitled anything like 'Fairy night Songs' are almost guaranteed to put me off. I'm a new age music fan, but I don't think that cute titles do the genre any favors. Fortunately, despite the title, the music on this album is serious and the magic of Singh Kaur's voice quickly brushes aside any quibbles one might have with Stadler's branding.

In short order this has become a 'reach for' album when I get home after work in that fuzzy, edgy mood which happens when I forget to leave work behind and let the day fall away on the way back. I can feel a smile start as soon as the laser hits 'Fairy Ring.' By the time I get to the closing 'Spark in the Night,' which is a recasting of 'Guru Ram Das' from the Crimson set, the spell is complete - somehow, inside, you have returned to a semblance of balance. Singh Kaur saves Marc from the padded room once again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, enchanting, breathtaking album!, December 15, 2003
This review is from: Fairy Night Songs (Audio CD)
This is one of my most favorite New Age CD's I own. I discovered it just by picking it up, the cover art and the title capturing my attention. I was not disappointed. I have listened to this CD so many times. Gary Stadler weaves together imagination, enchantment of faery's into a musical dream. Listening to Faery Nightsongs leads you to a place filled with warmth and relaxation. The song, Faery Ring featuring the voice of singer, Singh Kaur is so beautiful you feel the music in you heart. It's my favorite track, though the whole album is a gift. I have now become both a fan of Garay Stadler and Singh Kaur. Each are true artist. Faery Nightsongs simply is magical!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Magical Flight of Faery Enchantment!!!, February 24, 2002
This review is from: Fairy Night Songs (Audio CD)
Mere words cannot express how beautiful, enchanting, and absolutely magical this CD is! Singh Kaur's voice is angelic, delicate and powerfully mesmerizing. She gently pulls you into the lovely world of Faery with her dulcet, shimmering tones. Composer Gary Stadler's music and instrumentals gorgeously complement Singh Kaur's artistry. Together they create a magic that few can surpass. It's reminiscent of Enya and Loreena Mckennitt, but different . . . Better.

5.0 out of 5 stars An exceptional CD, November 24, 1998

"Fairy Nightsongs" is eerily reminiscent of the earlier music of Enya (especially "The Celts" and "Watermark") and Loreena McKennitt. Together, Gary Stadler and Singh Kaur have created a great CD, with beautiful melodies and heavenly vocals by Singh (who died recently). It is sadly fitting that her final work was so hauntingly beautiful.Songs like "Fairy Trees" and "Laura's Hill" will remind the listener of Loreena, while "Fly Away," "Darkness," and "A Spark in the Night" are very Enya-esque.

This CD far exceeded my expectations of relaxing music. So much of the "new age" music bores you to tears after 3 songs. Gary Stadler's CDs (I own 2 & plan to purchase more) are original and sparkle with creativity and mood. Lisa G

Gary Stadler--you never cease to amaze me! BEAUTIFUL creations of the musical realm! Singh Kaur's voice remains forever embedded in the hearts of many, even though to dust she has returned. Touching, moving, inspiring. Not a penny wasted.
