A fast moving tale of a ten year old girl, and a group of fairies, racing against time to save the planet from pollution.
This is a "green" story which delivers its message to children without being sanctimonious. It should catch the imagination of 4-10 year olds, teaching them that doing good can be fun and exciting, and that more is accomplished by teamwork than by the sum of individual efforts. Their dangerous quest is described without gratuitous violence. The book has charming color illustrations by Teresa Robertson. I look forward to a sequel from Lorna Uglow, hopefully before my grandchildren grow up! Peter T. Walling. Bartonville, Texas. |
