Book Description

For the third year running, a ritualistic serial killer has struck again in the week leading up to Halloween, leaving a gruesome and bloody trail in his wake.

It’s the same every year. One murder every day, until his quotient of seven has been reached. Butchery doesn’t begin to describe what happens to those who he gets his hands on. Then the killer vanishes – only to return twelve months later as merciless as ever.

When he does resurface, he appears to strike randomly and at will. It cannot be established exactly how the killer selects his victims, or why. As such, the detective leading the case is no closer to discovering the identity of the ruthless predator than he was when the slayings began.

It’s only when the detective gets an unexpected break that things get interesting…

5.0 out of 5 stars Prime Example of Erotic Noir June 22, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
You've got a detective investigating a crime and he's oh so full of himself, and this being a first person narrative, you would think that would be irritating, but it wasn't. The guy made me chuckle a few times with his blatant honesty and sarcasm.

"If you get on the wrong side of me, the only thing you'll hear going bump in the night is my fist repeatedly hitting your face."

The case: Once year, before Halloween, like clockwork, someone commits a series of gruesome murders. They tear the bodies apart, pin the flesh to the wall with the ribs, and dance in the blood...and somehow disappear without a trace or a footprint.

Can he figure out whodunnit and how in time? And oh, how a man's dick can get him into trouble... That is all I'm gonna say. It's a short story and I risk revealing too much. But I will say it's incredibly daring and the sex is hot. Thumbs up, Mr. Weston.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seductive Horror July 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
If you're looking for a quick and exciting read, this short story is a great choice. A detective is stumped on his case. Every year around Halloween, a slew of bodies show up with their hearts ripped out. The weird thing is, they die with a smile on their face. As the cop heads home from his most recent murder scene, he ponders how the killer seems to leave no trace. Its a great start to the story. It really draws you in. Since its told in the first person, you get a good like inside the detective's head. He's a little cocky at times, but he comes off as a realistic lady's man that is believable and honest. Once he gets home, the real story begins. I can't say too much more without giving away the best parts, but this is a story that will leave you hot and bothered in more ways than one. Its the perfect blend of horror, mystery, fantasy and erotica, and the ending will definitely leave you with a smile on your face.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely not what I expected, but good! May 23, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this very much. It was something I never would have thought of myself. Very enjoyable! The only thing that turned me off a bit was the detective. As a character, he and I didn't get along. The story is well-written, entertaining, and erotic... Definitely a fantastic choice if you're looking for a short horror story. I left the night light on when I went to bed, though...

Fairy Tail leaves you guessing right up until the very end! A detective is dealing with a serial killer which leaves their victims in pieces. The sex is sizzling and the story is gripping. The first person narrative is perfect for this paranormal crime story. I couldn't stop reading. Certainly a read that will keep you entertained.
