Product Description

Once upon a time, there was a foolish Fairy King who let pride and spite guide his thinking. As punishment for his impudence and betrayal, his clan condemned him to human form and charged him with the task of earning the trust of a single mortal. Given less than a year to achieve his goal, poor Frisque finds himself banished to the present-day world to seek his deliverance.

From the age of early myth to our modern era, Fairies have inhabited a magical niche in the human imagination. Through "The Fairy´s Tale", the journey and musings of little Frisque provide a keen insight into the true purpose of these magical imps.

About the Author

A figment of his own fevered imagination, P.K. Silverson had been chained to a keyboard by the forces of advertising for the bulk of his mere mortal adulthood. Recently released by the hero of this book, with whom he shares a common birth date, the author resides in Los Angeles, California when he's not hopelessly lost in fantasy, although many believe there is little difference between those two places. His spouse and inspiration, Kathryn, provides him with a loving link to the real world, such as it is.

A Great New Book June 16, 2000
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Reading "The Fairy's Tale" was a delightful experience. I've read a lot of fantasy fiction, and this book is a little different, a lot of fun, and very satisfying. I look forward to reading more of P.K. Silverson's books in the future.

A Super Story November 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
First of all, I love fairy tales. This book feels like a classical fairy tale with a grown up twist. This book speaks volumes to present-day life. Someone in charge (Frisque) gets greedy, the people get fed up, then...out you must go; that's Occupy Wall Street all day. I even appreciate the task of redemption in Los Angeles. Let's be honest, Frisque could've fallen deeper into the proverbial rabbit hole in Los Angeles. I seceretly hoped he'd make no attempts to change. I really value the idea that everybody (or fairy) can change. I'll read everything else Silverson puts writes.
