Product Description

Platform: Xbox 360

Explore the darker side of your favorite fairytale characters in this Hack’N’Slash gore-fest platform adventure! Fairytale Fights is a truly twisted hack’n’slash platform adventure where players assume the role of a much-loved fairytale character (Little Red Riding Hood, Jack & The Beanstalk, The Naked King or Snow White), whose glory days have long since passed. While embarking on a seemingly innocent journey to save a colorful fantasy world from certain disaster, players traverse a series of colourful and enthralling levels filled to the brim with action-packed combat and fairytale-style storylines. Luckily, many different weapons lay strewn throughout the fairytale kingdom, which players can use to slice and dice their way through swathes of cute fluffy bunnies and imposing enemies.

4.0 out of 5 stars How can you NOT like this game? March 18, 2010
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
First off, I purchased this game when it was 39.99 and even though a month later it went to 19.99 I was not annoyed because I felt it was well worth the money I spent.

Yes, it is frustrating at times (mostly due to timing/jumping etc.) However, the fact that 9 people, between the ages of 13 and 38, who I've personally played this game with (and who have LOVED this game) seem to prove the frustrations don't overpower the fun.

There are 3 different difficulties.
4 different characters (rumored to be more in development: [...] )
1-4 players offline (same console)
1-4 players online (xbox Live)
Over 150 weapons you can find.
It also has an arena mode that allows for just beating eachother up for a few minutes, not exactly a big selling point, but it's an added option.

Mostly what makes the game difficult is the view and as I already stated, the timing. Every boss requires you to memorize the sort of pattern they use with their attacks. Once you realize how it works it is very easy to defeat the boss. I don't see how that is any different than some games from the late 80s and early 90s, and I don't see people giving the original mega man series one star ratings... in fact, quite the opposite.

Overall, it is a very quirky and fun hack'n'slash/slice'n'dice game.
It is not a game for someone looking for super-easy achievements or absolutely no challenge whatsoever.
If you often find yourself in the situation I often found myself in where you have friends over but only have rock band or hasbro family game night to entertain 4 players with, then this game could quite possibly be the perfect solution for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fairytale Fights Review July 25, 2010
By Rhonda
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Fairytale Fights is great fun, if you know what you are getting into. I knew, and I am enjoying it to it's fullest potential. Let me break it down into.......

Pro's and Con's
~Good storyline ~Repetitive area's (at times)
~Great graphics ~A little too much fighting
~Good sound effects ~Annoying camera
~Easy to learn controls

Summary: Fairytale Fights is a great game with an amusing story line, amazing graphics, and high quality sound effects. There is good music playing lightly in the background throughout the game, and has online and offline multiplayer features. Although the camera can get annoying, and repetitive fighting is prevalent, this is still a great, fun, amusing title.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's bloody fun June 24, 2010

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
So, to get right to it, if you like quirky, mature, funny video games then you will like this game. Multi-player is fun, you can work together, or you can mess with each other. Single player is just as fun. There is a plethora of weapons, and the story is hilarious.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tons of Fun September 14, 2014
By Amelia
Platform for Display:Xbox 360
"Do you want to skate in the blood?" This is how my friend introduced me to this game. My answer was yes, of course, and she proceeded to hand me a controller to play. At first I had no idea how to play, evidenced by my high death count and low jewel count, but I quickly got the hang of it.

This game is not for the faint of heart, or that of a nervous disposition. The game is a wonderful take on fairy tales, and for those who would love to take an axe to 'Prince Charming' this is your chance. The weapons range from useful (Woodcutters Axe) to the seemingly-useless (Carrot). Each level has it's challenges, with the earlier levels being quite easy and the later levels being infuriatingly difficult. However, the levels last longer than you realize (especially when you try to save).

I recommend this to anyone. It's great fun alone, and even better with another player.
