Faith in Action is more than a book, it is a way of life for the growing number of Christian doctors, nurses, social workers and "ordinary folks" who make up Central American Medical Outreach, a small nonprofit organization that works in the remote mountains of western Honduras. Authors Mike Billington and Cari DeSantis have documented the work of these volunteers in a stirring tribute to the faith they have, the people they are, and the people they serve. This is no ordinary book, however. Instead of simply writing down in chronological order the history of CAMO and the comments of its volunteers, the authors turned this book into an emotional journey through the mountains of western Honduras. With over 40 dramatic black and white photographs and some equally dramatic prose and poetry, the reader gets swept up in the experience of Christian men and women who have sacrificed much to literally put their faith into action.

Superb Glimpses into Life,

This is truely one of the most outstanding books that I have had the privilege of reading, enjoying and experiencing in my life. The words are beautiful and the pictures show even much more of the emotions that go into the helping of such needful people. If we all could do something like this, even in a small way that would help peoples in third world countries learn, eat, play, and participate in a better life, it would be good. Thank you...Kathy!
