A Romantic Mystery to Die For..., November 9, 2006
This review is from: Faith (Paperback)
I don't generally like mysteries, but lately I've read several great ones that are making me question why. `Faith' is certainly a fantastic book. Although I was expecting the romance and not the mystery, it drew me in not letting go until the very last page. I enjoyed it so much that I'm disappointed the author hasn't written anything else.
Faith is badly hurt in a plane crash and her wealthy Uncle Brandon, whom she's never met, takes care of her in lavish fashion. He buys all the right rehab equipment and hires Sara to be her full-time, personal nurse. Sara became a nurse after her own similar accident several years earlier and suffers from amnesia, having no recollection of her previous life. After being released from the hospital, Faint and Sara find themselves seemingly trapped at Brandon's home, Shady Grove. Surrounded by everything she could want, except her dead parents who avoided Shady Grove like the plague, Faith begins to realize her life is no longer her own. I can't say any more without starting to spoil the story.
Suffice it to say this is an incredibly well-written romantic mystery. There is evil lurking where it's least expected and Sara isn't sure who she can trust. The complete truth is not revealed until very end - as it should be - but it's so convoluted and outrageous that I almost think it could happen. I feel like my comments here are scant, but I'd only repeat myself saying more. Do yourself a favor... grab this book and curl up in your favorite chair for an afternoon. It will be well worth your time and money.

Very Good Book, August 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Faith (Paperback)
Anj has written a good book with solid characters. She develops her plot, characters and their interactions pretty well. The only thing I didn't enjoy was that the ending of the book was
predictable. As an avid reader, I like to be surprised by the ending. Keep writing Anj, and I'll keep buying your books. It was well written and a good read! And if you can surprise me with the ending in your next book, you'll have a reader for life!
