Faith and the Electric Dogs is a story about a girl named Faith and her Dog ( Edison ). Faith is a girl about 8 yrs. old who lives in Mexico and thinks it is impossible to learn spanish. Edison is a street dog who knows about 5 different human languages. He understands humans but cannot speak their language. They save each other and that is how they become close friends. Faith wants to go back home San Francisco, California. So she saves enough money and gets a man ( Senor Latas ) to build her a rocket. She packs very few and takes Edison with her. Later, they get caught in a storm and land on Bone Island. They meet new friends there. Faith meets Beverly an old man. Edison meets other electric dogs. Days Later, Faith wants to go back home. So she fixes the rocket and takes off with Edison. When they get back home Faith realizes that spanish is not impossible to learn. I think you would like this story because it is about friendship and adventure. The best thing is that it teaches an important lesson. The book I just finished was Faith And The Electric Dogs. It might be hard to understand because it contains a little Spanish.There is a translation on the sides and a glossary in the back of the book. It even translates into dog language!
This book is about a girl named Faith. She is an American girl who lives in Mexico. She hates Mexico and wants to go home. One day, she finds a stray dog that saves her from a big bully. She keeps him and names him Eddie. One day, she decides to buy a rocket. The rocket looks like a peacock. She takes off and lands on an island that is unamed. It is in
the shape of a bone.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has a big imagination and wants adventure.

I choose this book and thought that I would just read one chapter but it is cool how they used spanish dialog. I read the book and now i am reading "Faith and the Rocket Cat."

THIS IS A GREAT BOOK. IT'S FUNNY, VERY ORIGINAL, AND IT KEPT ME INTERESTED. IF YOU'RE A DOG LOVER AND ARE LOOKING FOR A BOOK, A good BOOK, I highly SUGGEST THIS. Patrick Jennings DOES A GOOD WRITNG JOB, AND WHEN I READ IT, I WAS really LAUGHING!!! SO THREE WORDS: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The writer tried to tell us an interesting story through a dogs' view. Other than learning English and new vocaburlaries, we can also learn spainish by reading it. Beacuse the reader is at the view of an electric dog, we probably will go through somethings like Bowwow or any languages within dogs. The whole story is in a funny and informal atmosphere. In addition, the English used is not very difficult to understand too. I really do think that this is a recommendation-worthy book for anyone who wants to spend their spare time with laughers.

This book is a really great book! Your kid would love it. Very imaginative adults would love it too. But only imaginative adults. If you aren't imaginative, then this book isn't for you.

There is another book by the same author that has, I think, the same characters in it. It's called Faith and the Rocket Cat. I haven't read it yet, as you might have guessed, but it's supposed to be really good

Faith and the Electric Dog by Patrick Jennings is a story about a dog named Eddie living in Mexico. Faith is another character in the story. Eddie and Faith try to travel to San Francisco, but end up on a deserted island in the Pacific Ocean.

This story takes place in a city in Mexico where Eddie, the electric dog, lives. A little girl named Faith saves Eddie when he is hit by a taxi cab, but Eddie saved Faith from a boy throwing rocks at her. Eddie also lives with Faith, too.

Faith never enjoyed Mexico since she moved from San Francisco. She could never understand how to speak their language. So, she decided to fly back to San Francisco in a spaceship.

Finally, they found the combination that would get them there. After launch, they're in the sky , Eddie and faith collapse on a dog bone shaped island because of a serious weather condition.

On the island, Eddie and Faith explore and find other stray dogs. They also find a bottle with a note inside. The dogs find an old man named Beverly. Beverly and Faith fix the rocket to fly back to Mexico.

My favorite part was when Faith and Eddie fly back to Mexico. My opinion is that it is a good book because dogs talk and children ride in spaceships. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy exploring and adventure.

Faith and the Electric Dogs is such a good book! Patrick Jennings, the book's author, let the reader see the story through the eyes of Edison, a Mexican street dog, or electric dog, who has been rescued by an American 11-year-old named Faith. Faith hates Mexico, mainly becuase a boy in her class is incredibly mean to her and teases her, and no one can understand her due to her not knowing Spanish. Therefore she decides to leave by rocket ship and go back to her home in San Francisco with Edison. The fuel leaks, though, and Eddy and Faith land on a bone-shaped island inhabited only by other electric dogs. I found the definitions in the margin very helpful, because they tell you the definitions of Spanish words and other languages, mostly Woof and Bow Wow. You don't even have to like dogs; anyone who loves a good laugh will love this easy-to-read book. This would make a great Christmas present!

this book was real good @ 1st i saw people reding then my teacher so when i got the book order and saw it there i ordered and the part i liked most about it was the spanish parts-. it's a real good book

Faith and the Electric Dogs is an excellent book. The magic realism is excellent. There is an unexpected, ironic turn of events in every chapter. I loom forward o reading Faith and the Rocket Cat.
