I've listened to Susan Ashton since 1991 and she is one of my very favorite vocalists. On "Faith of the Heart," her voice is as warm and rich as ever and her beautiful treatment of this Diane Warren song will certainly satisfy country music fans.

Maybe this is a little too country for me -- I enjoy her earlier work much more. I feel her work as a contemporary Christian artist has a sincerity and depth that seems missing here, and the purity of her vocal style is dulled by the "countrification" of her new sound.

"Faith of the heart" by Susan Ashton offers encouragement and motivation. It is an inspiration to me since I am in a transition stage in my life. I played this song over and over. I couldn't get enough of it. It is very inspirational. I highly recommend it. I can't wait until her new album comes out.

When I first heard this song, there was no question in my mind that I had to have it. I am starting on a new road in my life, and this song is the inspiration and motivation to help me succeed. Every line fit with what has gone on and is presently happening in my life. Susan Ashton does the music and lyrics justice--she brings life to the song. This is a must in everyone's collection to be listened to repeatedly!

I found the Rod Stewart version on the Patch Adams soundtrack and it is a good version, even better than Russell Watson's on the show.

I love this song from a songwriting point of view, but I am not crazy about this version. Even though I am not a big Rod Stewart fan, I think that his version is better. This song plays better as a pop tune and not a country tune. It is a fantastic song about hope and encouragement, but if you're a fan of pop music, you will definitely like Rod's version better. I think Diane Warren is a great songwriter and this version doesn't do her work justice. Listen to the Rod Stewart version. I bet you'll agree it's better.
