Buell Kazee August 29, 1900- August 31, 1976 Buell Kazee was considered one of the best folk singers in the 1920s and 1930s. Recordings are still available. He was considered “a master of the high, lonesome" singing style of the Appalachian balladeer.” That was more or less a hobby for Kazee; his first love was the ministry. His life was given to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He had a lengthy life of noble service as a pastor and Bible teacher. He served churches in Oklahoma and Kentucky. Faith Is the Victory is the best known of his writings.
