More About the Author

I am married with two children and two Grandchildren. I have served as the Pastor of the Union Church of La Harpe IL. for 30 years. I grew up in Chicago and am now in love with the rural life.

I write because I want to communicate the transforming truth of God's Word in a clear and accessible manner. My target audience inculdes people new to the faith, believers who want to grow in their understanding of Scripture as it relates to life, and Pastors who are looking for sermon fodder. Each book (except for Faith Lessons) contains study questions conducive to home or church study groups. (Faith Lessons has questions available on our website)

Educationally I received my BA in Biblical Studies from Trinity International University in Deerfield IL., and an M.Div and MA in Chr. Ed. from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. I feel most of my education has come on the job and through the hundreds of books I've read since graduation.

Wow. This book is so good I am actually speechless. I am so glad that Bruce wrote this book. I have been blessed by his knowledge. I usually sell my books after reading them. Not this one. I plan to keep this one on my bookshelf and always refer to it daily. This book deserves much more publicity and marketing than it probably gets. It is such an inspiration to me and has taught me many good lessons. Thank you, Bruce for writing it!

One of the best books I've read in a long time! I used the book as a daily devotional and really enjoyed the indepth look into Genesis. I encourage more readers to read the remarkable works of this new author.

I've read a lot of books about the Old Testament, but this one has got to be one of the best. The author, a pastor from Illinois, really brings Genesis alive. I didn't think Genesis could be so relevant to my daily life! I think this is the only book by this author, hope he writes more.
