Uplifting, empowering, and encouraging lyrics. Excellent during the times when you are discouraged, disappointed, insecure, doubtful and faced with prayer response delays.

Alvin's smooth booming voice reminds me sometimes of Luther Vandross. But make no mistake about it, Alvin is in a class all by himself. He is accompanied by diverse sounding music (traditional gospel, soft ballad, contemporary praise & worship)
If you want a spirit filled album that will help you to forget your sorrows, encourage you to press on, and worship God without restraint. 15 TRACKS 71 minutes 45 seconds is well worth the cost.

Track 1 My Joy - Fast upbeat moving song.
Alvin gives the Lord credit for turning mourning into dancing, sorrow into joy, and makes a declaration to always worship Him for who He is = My Joy

Track 2 ( Not a Song) Less than 2 minute testimony. Especially good for people whom have been praying for years and things seem to get worse instead of better. Gives one Hope to keep believing and praying.

Track 10 This I Know / I Have Decided to Follow Jesus Medley - Alvin makes a commitment to the Lord to serve him with his whole heart.he has experienced one of life's joys of of holding a new born baby and one of life's sorrows the death of his mother but yet he decides to follow Jesus.
Alvin reminds us that no matter how our lives wists and turns that God is our Provider and Strong Tower. He reminds us to Stand Firm.

Track 11 Lord I Run To You - Reminds us that there is nothing to hard for God. The following lyrics says it best:

I bought this cd during a very dark time in my life. The cd helped me to gain strength and know that God cares, He hears, and will enable me to overcome. All I have to do is just have faith and continue to trust Him to perform his Word. This cd changed my life and I am ever grateful to God for using Alvin. May God bless this cd and enable others to hear this and be forever changed. I'm giving this to friends and any one I know who needs to be blessed.

Alvin has become my favorite. His voice is annointed and awesome. His style of music is nothing less than awesome. I atually sing some of his songs when called upon to sing at my church. I especially love "Wave of Annointing.

This CD is awesome very uplifting-nonstop praising. The first reviewer says it all, this is a MUST HAVE.

Product was slightly used as described but the quality of the CD was great. It was a gift and I get calls almost every day regarding what a great CD it is.

I first heard songs from this CD on Pandora.com and was so blessed I bought it. It's great, song 4 'launch out' just brought tears and still does as do some of the other songs on it. I have since ordered 2 more for friends and another one of his CDs, Overcomer'.

"The Faith Life" by Alvin Slaughter is just what I was looking for. I needed spiritual music/lyrics that would touch my inner being and draw me closer to God. I looked at the different song titles which drew me to listen to a few and convinced me to purchase the CD. A friend recommended this CD and I'm glad she did. Uplifting.....takes you into worship......sits you down Father God. Try it for yourself!

I am so glad that I found this cd by alvin slaughter. I had head him sing with the brooklyn tabernacle choir and I loved his singing. I listen to the cd over and over. His singing is excellent and the choice of music has brought comfort to my life. I have been going through a number of things and he has helped strenghten my faith. I have not had a chance to read his book yet but I am looking forward to it.

This is a wonderful praise and worship CD. Me and my daughter listen to it all the time. It soothes the soul, Alvin Slaughter's voice is truly angelic.
