Book Description

The journeys of an ordinary Harley ridin’ man; during a down turn in his life rediscovers his faith in God. Through this rediscovery of faith in God and through many Grace Moments; his life will be filled with a journey of sunshine, of hope and of love; for he will find the woman he’s been long searching for. About the Author

I grew up in the south ‘burbs of Chicago in the 50’s & 60’s with a love for rock music, motorcycles and muscle cars. I was raised Roman Catholic and later in my late teens chose to step away and into the less doctrine world of a Protestant. Throughout my years I married 3 times, 2nd & 3rd to the same woman; we were divorced again 7 years later, a total of 26 years with both marriages. Go ahead laugh, I do! Both women I was married to were great moms and gave to me 2 awesome children; a boy and a girl, both grown now. Later in life and after moving to the state of Oklahoma for a job transfer, after that 3rd divorce and after making many mistakes in my life with my marriages and my children; my heart, soul and spirit began searching for a new identity; a grounding of my life, so to speak. It was during a sojourn down one of those lonely roads I rediscovered my guiding light; my North Star I had been searching for; my strong faith in God; that I for a long time had discarded. Along this journey of rediscovery of my faith; God would bring to me an extraordinary woman; a woman who would bring sunshine into my heart and love into my soul. Together we would ride our Harley motorcycles through the highways and byways; falling in love and marrying. Tragically, this extraordinary woman’s life would be cut short nine months after our wedding. I have chosen to write Faith-Navigating The Clouds without a GPS not only to help heal my heart and soul but more importantly in hopes my words; based on my experiences of traveling this lonesome journey, my deep love for my wife and my awesome devoted faith to my God; will help at least one person who may be going through difficult times to know that faith; faith in God can lead us through the most tragic moments in our lives. All we have to do is ask Him!

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring True-Life Account January 8, 2013
Navigating The Clouds Without a GPS is an inspiring story about faith and love. It summarizes the life of a suburban Chicagoan who discovers a new life in Oklahoma after a job transfer and subsequent divorce. The book focuses on the last decade (2002-2012), and more specifically the moments that his faith in God was rekindled as well as the time he spent with his late wife Kathy. It describes how two people were drawn to each other through faith and love. The immense love between Don and Kathy is illustrated throughout the book with many accounts and examples. The book also provides a glimpse of how faith upholds someone who undergoes a devastating tragedy. This faith will sustain Don as he continues life without his "sweetheart" after a tragic traffic accident takes her life. Don also experiences the love and comfort that family members can provide during these circumstances and cherishes these blessings. A great story to be inspired by!
